KARNATAK UNIVERSITY DHARWAD The blue and green emblem of Karnatak University Dharwad (KUD) has a shield holding the motifs of a banyan tree crested by an open book supported by an elephant and a bull, its motto in Kannada on a white banner and a rising sun over a water body. Below the shield, on a banner the name of the university is written. The shield denotes protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery; the elephant and the bullock denote the symbols of the State of Karnataka; the rising sun denotes life, energy, power, positivity, illumination, light and clarity; the waterbody denotes life, motion and fertility; the banyan tree denotes strength, individuality, expression, calmness, growth, the interconnectedness of everything and perpetuity and the open book refers to learning, knowledge, education and wisdom. The motto on the banner states that ‘ಅರಿವೇ ಗುರು’ meaning ‘Wisdom is Guru’.

P.V. NARSIMHA RAO TELANGANA VETERINARY UNIVERSITY The seal of the P.V. Narsimha Rao Telangana Veterinary University (PVNRTVU), has a circle holding the motifs of a map of the State of Telangana surrounded by a bullock, a sheep, a microscope, a pair of fish and a hen. Inside the map the Staff of Hermes or Caduceus with a pair of wings and entwined by a pair of snakes symbolising medicine and medical profession emerging from the letter ‘V’ denoting ‘Veterinary’ and supported by an open book symbolising education, knowledge and wisdom. The motifs around the map symbolises the domain of knowledge in which the university operates. This circle with motifs is ensconced by a white circular border carrying the name of the university in Telugu and a blue border in English. Below the circle, on a blue banner ‘Hyderabad India’ is written.

ODISHA UNIVERSITY OF AGRICULTURE AND TECHNOLOGY In 1961, the Legislature of the State of Orissa enacted the Orissa University of Agriculture and Technology Act, 20 of 1961 with the object of establishing and incorporating a University of Agriculture and Technology. The university was inaugurated by Prof. John K. Galbraith on August 24, 1962 and began its functioning from February 1, 1963, when the Utkal Krushi Mahavidyalaya and the Orissa College of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry with their staff were transferred to the university. The emblem of the university has motifs of a bullock with a plough on flowing water supported by a tractor and a power tiller placed on a green circle. The green circle is ensconced by a border, on which the name of the university and its year of establishment are inscribed. CHANDRA SHEKHAR AZAD UNIVERSITY OF AGRICULTURE AND TECHNOLOGY The Chandra Shekhar Azad University of Agriculture and Technology (CSAUAT), Kanpur was originally established in 1893 as a small school to impart training to revenue officers. It became a Government Agriculture College in 1906; then it became Uttar Pradesh  Institute of Agricultural Sciences in 1969 and finally to the C.S. Azad University of Agriculture and Technology in 1975. The emblem of the university has circular gear housing the motifs of a bullock, a plough and a tractor. The gear is ensconced by a green bordered circle which bears the name and place of the university. The emblem is supported by a pair of laurels.
