UNIVERSITY OF AGRICULTURAL SCIENCES University of Agricultural Sciences (UAS), Raichur is a university exclusively dedicated to the study and research of agricultural sciences established by the Government of Karnataka at Raichur district through the University of Agricultural Sciences Act, 2009. The emblem of UAS has a rising sun in yellow with a tractor in it. It is supported in the centre by an open book on which a Kannada slogan is written on it, on the left by an ear of corn and on the right by a sunflower. Below the book its year of establishment is written. All these are ensconced in a circle with black border line. Its name in Kannada and English are written around the circle in blue. Two green colour laurels surround all these. All these are placed on a base, which bears its motto in Kannada ‘ಹಸಿರೇ ಉಸಿರು’ meaning ‘Green is Life’ is written.
