MAHARASHTRA NATIONAL LAW UNIVERSITY, AURANGABAD The tricolour emblem of Maharashtra National Law University, Aurangabad (MNLUA) has the picture of Kailash Temple pillar from Ellora caves located in Aurangabad supported by the swooshes of tricolour within a circle. This is ensconced by a blue and tricolour decorative borders in which its name and place are inscribed. Its motto in Sanskrit ‘यतो धर्मस्ततो जयः’ ( Mahabharata ) meaning ‘Where There is Dharma, There will Be Victory’ is inscribed below the seal.

VIJAYBHOOMI UNIVERSITY Vijaybhoomi University is a private university located in Karjat, Maharashtra, India. It was established in 2018 by an Act of the State Legislature of Maharashtra. Its emblem has a word mark with a pictorial on its left. The word mark is the name of the university written in crisp sans serif font and the pictorial is a square divided into four squares of yellow, red, green and blue with abstract strokes taken from the letters ‘A’ and ‘U’ in white. MAHARASHTRA INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION Established in 1962, under M.I.D.C Act 1961 as the premier industrial infrastructure development agency of Government of Maharashtra. Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) is the nodal Investment Promotion agency under the Government of Maharashtra. It provides businesses with infrastructure such as land, roads, water supply, drainage facilities and street lights etc. Its emblem in red colour has a traditional Maharashtrian lamp ensconced in a circular border with its name inscribed. Its motto in Marathi ‘उद्यमात सकल समृद्धी:’ meaning ‘Prosperity through Enterprise’ is place below the logo. Below this the acronym of the institute in extra bold three dimensional slab serif is placed.  

MAHARASHTRA STATE ROAD DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION

MAHARASHTRA STATE ROAD DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION MSRDC is a corporation established and fully owned by the Government of Maharashtra through a resolution on July 9, 1996. MSRDC mainly deals with the properties and assets comprising movables and immovables including land, road projects, flyover projects, toll collection rights and works under construction which are vested with the State Government and were under the control of the Public Works Department (PWD). Its logo is a oblong portrait panel with red background on which grey and white colour roads crisscross which appears like ‘M’. At the bottom its acronym is written in black.

VISVESVARAYA NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY, NAGPUR

VISVESVARAYA NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY,  NAGPUR Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology (VNIT), Nagpur is one of the thirty National Institutes of Technology in the country. The Government of India conferred on the Institute, the Deemed to be University status (under University Grants Commission Act, 1956 (3 of 1956)) from June 26, 2002. Earlier, the Institute was known as Visvesvaraya Regional College of Engineering (VRCE) which was established in the year 1960. Its circular emblem is divided into four quarters, with a torch held by a hand in the middle. The first quadrant has a pair of meshing gears, the second has a book, the third has a bridge on a river and the fourth has an electricity transmission tower. The name and place of the institute is inscribed along the border of the circle. A banner at the bottom has its motto in Sanskrit ‘योगः कर्मसु कौशलम्’ meaning ‘Yoga is Skill in Actions’ is written.

BALASAHEBCHI SHIV SENA

BALASAHEBCHI SHIV SENA The Election Commission of India (EC) on October 10, 2022 allotted new party name to the Shiv Sena faction led by Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. EC has decreed that the faction would be known as ‘Balasahebchi Shiv Sena’ granted his faction of the 'two swords and a shield' symbol. SHIV SENA (UDDHAV BALASAHEB THACKERAY) The Election Commission of India (EC) on October 10, 2022 allotted new party name to the Shiv Sena faction led by Uddhav Thackeray giving the (mashaal) torch symbol to the Thackeray group. EC has decreed that the Uddhav Thackeray faction would be called the ‘Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray)’ The torch in black and white is shown in an orange (saffron) circle. SHIV SENA Shiv Sena  ( IAST : Śiva Sēnā) ( lit.  'Army of  Shivaji ') is a  right-wing Marathi regionalist and Hindu ultranationalist  political party in  India  founded in 1966 by cartoonist  Bal Thackeray . Originally emerging from  nativist  movements in  Bombay  (present-day Mumbai), the party agitates for preferential treatment for the  Marathi people  over migrants from other parts of India. Its election symbol for Maharashtra is bow and arrow with the name of the party in Marathi at the bottom. MAHARASHTRA POLICE Maharashtra, the third largest state in Republic of India, has one of the largest police forces in the country. Besides 236 Indian Police Service officers borne on the State Cadre, it has 121 Superintendents of Police, 770 Deputy Superintendents of Police, 3136 Inspectors, 2641 Assistant Police Inspectors, 8001 Sub Inspectors and 1,48,912 men (members of constabulary). Maharashtra, a highly industrialized state with large urban conglomerates, has adopted Commissionerates system for policing its large cities. The State has 10 Commissionerates and 35 district police units. The motto of Maharashtra Police is ‘Sadha Rakshnayakhalanigrahanaya’ in Sanskrit. EMBLEM OF MAHARASHTRA The emblem of the State of Maharashtra is a circular seal depicting a Samai Diva Lamp surrounded by 16 lotus blooms. Between the Samai lamp and lotus blossoms is a motto in Sanskrit 'प्रतिपच्चंद्रलेखेव वर्धिष्णुर्विश्व वंदिता महाराष्ट्रस्य राज्यस्य मुद्रा भद्राय राजते' ( Pratipaccandralēkhēva vardhiṣṇurviśva vanditā mahārāṣṭrasya rājyasya mudrā bhadrāya rājatē ), which translates as ‘The Glory of this Seal of the State Government of Maharashtra will Grow like the First day Moon. It will be worshipped by the world and will shine only for the well being of its people’. The motto is based on one found on the (rajmudra) ‘royal seal’ used by 17th century Maratha king Chhatrapati Shivaji, the only difference being that the name of the monarch is replaced by the name of the state.
