SHRI RAWATPURA SARKAR UNIVERSITY The predominantly orange circular emblem of Shri Rawatpura Sarkar University (SRU) has two layers of lotuses in light and dark orange houses a diagram of an atom supported by its acronym ‘SRU’. The circular orange border bears its name and its motto in Sanskrit ‘सत्यम् ज्ञानम् अनंतम्’ meaning ‘ True Knowledge is Infinite’ is written and supported by a pair of laurels. The colour orange symbolises energy, vitality, creativity, inspiration, joy and happiness; lotus denotes purity, enlightenment, rebirth, transformation, personal growth, resilience, overcoming obstacles and divine beauty; the drawing of an atom denotes science, engineering and technology and the laurels denote ceremonies, victory, achievement, hard work and dedication.

MAHAYOGI GORAKHNATH UNIVERSITY GORAKHPUR The red and yellow circular emblem of Mahayogi Gorakhnath University Gorakhpur (MGUG) has an image of Mahayogi Guru Shri Gorakhnath ji is placed at the centre with a halo and glowing circles of red, orange and yellow and 35 light rays emanate from him. The name of the university surmounts the yogi. The central motifs are ensconced by a red circular border which carries its name in Devanagari. On a red banner placed below the circular seal the motto of the university in Sanskrit ‘स्वस्ति पन्थामनुचरेम्’ (Mantra 15, Sukta 51, Mandal 5, Rigveda) meaning ‘Let Us Follow the Path of Peace, Progress and Wellbeing’ and its year of inception are written ‘ॐ’ on sun at both the ends. The rays denote reverberating cosmic energy and eternal knowledge of heritage of Indian knowledge and the colours red symbolises passion, power, strength, courage, determination, energy and celebration and yellow denotes happiness, energy, vitality, focus and creativity.
