MOTILAL NEHRU NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY ALLAHABAD, PRAYAGRAJ Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology Allahabad, Prayagraj (MNNIT) is an Institute with total commitment to quality and excellence in academic pursuits. It was established in the year 1961 as a joint enterprise of Government of India and Government of Uttar Pradesh and was an associated college of University of Allahabad. For a short duration of two years (2000-2002), the Institute was affiliated to U.P. Technical University. On June 26, 2002 MNREC was transformed into National Institute of Technology and Deemed University fully funded by Government of India. With the enactment of National Institutes of Technology Act-2007(29 to 2007), the Institute has been granted the status of institution of national importance with effect from August 15, 2007. NO. 21 SQUADRON 21 Squadron, AF was formed on 16 October 1965 at 7 Wing, AF, to be equipped with Gnat Mk I aircraft. The Squadron initially flew aircraft borrowed from 2 Squadron, AF and 18 Squadron, AF, until on May 14, 1966, when she got her first complement of aircraft. Thereafter the Squadron moved to 17 Wing, AF, Gorakhpur until the 1971 operations. The Squadron was visited by DASI in 72 and 75 and the Squadron moved to 7 C&MU at Bakshi Ka Talab and operated there til the time she was earmarked to be re-equipped with the Mig-21 BIS. On December 1, 1976, the Squadron moved out of C&MU to 2 Wing, AF Pune to be re-equipped with the MIG-21 BIS. The Squadron moved out from 33 Wing, AF where it had been located since January 1, 1987, to 12 Wing, AF. Sixteen fighter aircraft were ferried out on May 9-1, 1988. INDIAN INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY MADRAS The Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IITM) is known both nationally and internationally for excellence in technical education, basic and applied research, innovation, entrepreneurship and industrial consultancy. In 1956, the German Government offered technical assistance for establishing an institute of higher education in engineering in India. The first Indo-German agreement in Bonn, West Germany for the establishment of the Indian Institute of Technology at Madras was signed in 1959. The first Indo-German Agreement provided for the services of German professors and five foremen, training facilities for 20 Indian faculty members and the supply of scientific and technical equipment for the establishment of the Central Workshop and 20 laboratories at IIT Madras. The circular logo of IITM in brown, khaki and red has a burning lamp in the middle with a lotus in bloom within its flame. This is supported by a flash of lightnin
