ICAR- INDIAN INSTITUTE OF FARMING SYSTEMS RESEARCH The emblem of ICAR- Indian Institute of Farming Systems Research (IIFSR) has a circular border with red outlines carrying the name and place of the institution supported by crests of cereals. This border houses the motifs of a papaya tree, a tractor, a pond of water, a fish, an agricultural field and a farmer ploughing with a pair of bullocks symbolising the farming systems and farm produces in a green background. This seal represents the nature and scope of the institute appropriately.

ICAR-CENTRAL INSTITUTE OF AGRICULTURAL ENGINEERING The circular emblem of ICAR-Central Institute of Agricultural Engineering (CIAE) has a gear wheel ensconcing a glowing sun, which houses the motifs of a tractor, ear of cereal and an open book. The border between the sun and the gear bears the acronym of its name and place in Devanagari and English and the year of inception alongwith its motto in Sanskrit ‘कृषकानामू हितार्थाय’ meaning ‘For the Benefit of the Farmers’ . The open book symbolises knowledge, learning, wisdom and education; the gear wheel represents interconnectedness, efficiency, precision, progress, advancement, synchronisation, timing, order and structure; the sun represents life, energy, power, positivity, illumination, light and clarity and the tractor and the ear of the cereal denotes agriculture and engineering.

VASANTRAO NAIK MARATHWADA AGRICULTURAL UNIVERSITY The emblem of Vasantrao Naik Marathwada Agricultural University (VNMAU) has a motif of the entrance arch of Ellora Caves in yellow colour with its name written in Devanagari along the arch. Inside the arch in a circle with black outline the motifs a gear wheel; a four petalled flower, a cattle, tractor, crest of cereal and an open and a microscope are placed. These motifs represent agriculture and agricultural engineering. On the base of the arch in between two gear wheels its motto in Sanskrit ‘कृषि मूलं हि जीवनम्’ meaning ‘Agriculture is the Root of Life’ is inscribed.  

JAWAHARLAL NEHRU KRISHI VISHWAVIDYALAYA

JAWAHARLAL NEHRU KRISHI VISHWAVIDYALAYA The green circular emblem of Jawaharlal Nehru Krishi Vishwavidyalaya (JNKVV) houses the motifs of a farmer ploughing field, a spike of wheat, an open book carrying the images of a microscope and a tractor and its motto in Sanskrit ‘प्राणिनां प्राणदा कृषि’ meaning ‘Agriculture is the Lifeblood of Living Beings’. All the motifs represent the field of agriculture and the scope of the university. All these are ensconced by a white circular border with green outlines which carries its year of inception, name and place in Devanagari and English.

NARENDRA DEO UNIVERSITY OF AGRICULTURE AND TECHNOLOGY The insignia of Narendra Deo University of Agriculture and Technology (NDUAT) is a circular seal supported by a banner at the bottom and a pair of laurels on sides. A purple colour circular border on which the name of the university is inscribed, houses the motifs of an open book symbolising learning, education, knowledge and wisdom; rising sun symbolising life, energy, power, positivity, illumination, light and clarity; the laurels denote ceremonies, victory, achievement, hard work and dedication and a pair of wheat crests, a sunflower, a microscope, a tractor, a milk cow, fruits and vegetables symbolising agriculture and technology. The place of the university is written in English and Devanagari on a panel below the border. The name in Devanagari circumscribes the circular border. The banner at the bottom is inscribed with its motto in Sanskrit ‘अन्नम् हि जीवानां ज्येष्टम्’ meaning ‘Food is Life for the Living Beings’.

ODISHA UNIVERSITY OF AGRICULTURE AND TECHNOLOGY In 1961, the Legislature of the State of Orissa enacted the Orissa University of Agriculture and Technology Act, 20 of 1961 with the object of establishing and incorporating a University of Agriculture and Technology. The university was inaugurated by Prof. John K. Galbraith on August 24, 1962 and began its functioning from February 1, 1963, when the Utkal Krushi Mahavidyalaya and the Orissa College of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry with their staff were transferred to the university. The emblem of the university has motifs of a bullock with a plough on flowing water supported by a tractor and a power tiller placed on a green circle. It became a Government Agriculture College in 1906; then it became Uttar Pradesh  Institute of Agricultural Sciences in 1969 and finally to the C.S. Azad University of Agriculture and Technology in 1975. The emblem of the university has circular gear housing the motifs of a bullock, a plough and a tractor. BIRSA AGRICULTURAL UNIVERSITY Birsa Agricultural University (BAU) was established on June 26, 1981. The emblem of the university has an open book with the images of a village with cattle on a background of mountains with rising sun, tractor and its motto in Sanskrit ‘तमसो मा ज्योतिर्गमय’ (Yajnavalkya,1.3.28, Pavamana Mantra, Brihadaranyaka Upanishad) meaning ‘From Darkness Lead me to Light’ are ensconced in a circular border which carries its name in Devanagari and English. The border is surmounted by a portion of a gear wheel and supported by its year of establishment and a pair of laurels of grain heads. The open book symbolises knowledge, wisdom and education; the rising sun denotes light, universal prosperity and path for growth; the other motifs are representing the geography of the land and the laurels represent agriculture, food, ceremonies, victory, achievement, hard work and dedication.

AGRICULTURE UNIVERSITY, JODHPUR Agriculture University, Jodhpur (AUJ) was established on September 14, 2013 by the Government of Rajasthan under Agriculture University, Jodhpur Act 21 of 2013 to focus on holistic development of arid and semi arid regions of the state covering the districts of Jodhpur, Barmer, Nagaur, Pali, Jalore and Sirohi. The predominantly green circular emble of the university has a rising sun from the sand dunes supported by a pair of ears of corn. UNIVERSITY OF AGRICULTURAL SCIENCES University of Agricultural Sciences (UAS), Raichur is a university exclusively dedicated to the study and research of agricultural sciences established by the Government of Karnataka at Raichur district through the University of Agricultural Sciences Act, 2009. The emblem of UAS has a rising sun in yellow with a tractor in it. It is supported in the centre by an open book on which a Kannada slogan is written on it, on the left by an ear of corn and on the right by a sunflower. UTTAR BANGA KRISHI VISWAVIDYALAYA Uttar Banga Krishi Viswavidyalaya (UBKV) is a State agricultural university in Pundibari about eleven kilometres North-West of Cooch Behar, West Bengal, India. It was established in 2001 by an Act of the West Bengal legislature. The emblem of the university is in the tones of violet and in the shape of a lanceolate or semi ellipse, with a border bearing its name. It has been divided into three vertical parts. SAPTAGIRI GRAMEENA BANK Saptagiri Grameena Bank (SGB) has been formed with the merger of Sri Venkateswara Grameena Bank, Chittoor, Chittoor district and Kanakadurga Grameena Bank, Gudivada, Krishna District with effect from from July 1, 2006 with head office at Chittoor.
