NATIONAL ACADEMY OF MEDICAL SCIENCES The circular emblem of National Academy of Medical Sciences (NAMS) houses the motif of  the churning of Mandara Parvat, also known as Samudra Manthan which is a pivotal event that involves the mountain being used as a churning rod to extract nectar from the ocean using the divine serpent Vasuki on Kurma the green tortoise placed in a yellow circle. This refers to the academy’s goal of deriving the essence of nectar in all its endeavours. The yellow circle is ensconced by a light blue circular border, on which its name and motto in Sanskrit which is an extract from the Kathopanishad ‘विद्ययाऽमृतमश्नुते’, (Shloka 11, Ishopanishad) meaning ‘Immortality is Gained from Learning’ is inscribed.

NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF SCIENCE EDUCATION AND RESEARCH The blue circular emblem of National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER) is a circle with blue outlines housing the motifs of helical structure of DNA from biology, a benzene ring from chemistry, a black hole from physics, ornamental fractal like structure with eight arms along the circumference representing Riemann surface of constant negative structure from mathematics and its acronym. The name of the Institute is written surmounts the circle. The motto of the Institute in Sanskrit which is an extract from the Kathopanishad ‘विद्ययाऽमृतमश्नुते’, (Shloka 11, Ishopanishad) meaning ‘Immortality is Gained from Learning’ is placed below the circle. SANT GAHIRA GURU VISHWAVIDYALAYA The circular emblem of Sant Gahira Guru Vishwavidyalaya (SGCG), formerly known a s Sarguja University has a circular border in orange and green and has its name, place and motto inscribed in Devanagari and supported by a pair of tribal ornaments. GURU RAVIDAS AYURVED UNIVERSITY The insignia of Guru Ravidas Ayurved University (GRAUP) has a yellow square holding two concentric circles in tones of orange supported by a rising sun forming the backdrop. GANGADHAR MEHER UNIVERSITY Gangadhar Meher University (GMU), Sambalpur came into existence on May 30, 2015 as a unitary institution of higher learning through the Government of Odisha order No.11598/HE dated May 30, 2015 by redesignating the erstwhile Gangadhar Meher College (Autonomous). The university’s emblem bears the name of the university and the year of its inception. The rays of the sun symbolise the cultural renaissance brought by the university. BUNDELKHAND UNIVERSITY The Bundelkhand University came into existence on August 26, 1975, by the Government of Uttar Pradesh Notification No. 10/15-60/74 under the provision of the Uttar Pradesh Universities Act. The circular emblem of the university has the silhouette motif of Rani of Jhansi with palm trees on each side supported by its year of founding and a traditional lamp with swans on water on each side. All these are ensconced by a circular border on which its name in Devanagari and English and its motto in Sanskrit ‘विद्ययाऽमृतमश्नुते’ (Shloka 11, Ishopanishad) meaning ‘Immortality is Gained from Learning’. RABINDRANATH TAGORE UNIVERSITY

RABINDRANATH TAGORE UNIVERSITY   Rabindranath Tagore University (RNTU)is a State University located in Hojai in Assam. The university was established by Rabindranath Tagore University Bill, 2017 which was passed by the Government of Assam on September 7, 2017. It was created by upgrading the Hojai College of Hojai. The emblem of the university has an open book supporting a traditional lamp placed in the background of an Assamese text. These are ensconced by a blue border which carries its name and its motto in Sanskrit ‘विद्ययाऽमृतमश्नुते’ meaning ‘Knowledge Enjoys Immortality’ taken from Ishopanishad Verse 11. The emblem is placed on a small decorative pedestal. The book symbolises education, knowledge and wisdom and the traditional lamp symbolises light, illumination, awakening, devotion, purity, guidance, protection, hope and prosperity.

AIPH UNIVERSITY

AIPH UNIVERSITY The Asian Institute of Public Health (AIPH) came into being in 2008 in the country. AIPH started a flagship programme, Master of Public Health (MPH) under an Indo-US partnership in 2010, which became self sufficient in 2015. These exceptional educational and outstanding research programmes resulted in getting AIPH a university status through state legislature in 2018. Its circular emblem in yellow and brown colours has a tree supported by a pair of hands. The tree is made up of motifs of an animal’s paw, DNA structure, a flying bird and humans. SHRI RAMSWAROOP MEMORIAL UNIVERSITY  Shri Ramswaroop Memorial University (SRMU) was established by Uttar Pradesh State Government ACT 1 of 2012. SRMU is built upon the excellence of Shri Ramswaroop Memorial Group of Professional Colleges (SRMGPC) in engineering and business education. Its emblem has a red pot of nectar spewing out from a red vessel which has its motto ‘विद्ययाऽमृतमश्नुते’ meaning ‘Knowledge enjoys Immortality’ taken from Ishopanishad Verse 11, written on and supported by the blue globe with latitudinal and longitudinal lines. The spewed nectar falls as drops for the stakeholders benefit. These are ensconced in a border on which its name and the State is inscribed. The Amrit or nectar is the source of immortality, meaning the university offers the nectar of knowledge, which is the source of immortality.

VIKRAM UNIVERSITY

VIKRAM UNIVERSITY Vikram University was established in Ujjain on March 1, 1957. Shri Ranchod Lalji Dhabai donated the land for it from Barnagar. The brown colour emblem of the university has a pair of outward facing lions from the Ashoka Pillar holding a lotus on water, which supports an open book, above which the tower of the Mahakal temple of Ujjain with a light wheel and halo behind and crested by its name and place are plced. At the base of the emblem, its year of establishment is inscribed. These are ensconced by an arching border similar to arches of the Sarnath. RAJIV GANDHI UNIVERSITY Rajiv Gandhi University (formerly Arunachal University) is the premier institution for higher education in the state of Arunachal Pradesh and has completed twenty five years of its existence. The university was converted into a Central University from April 9, 2007. Its predominantly blue circular emblem has yellow details and a red banner. It has a Buddhist stupa supported by Buddhist symbols; crescent moon, traditional lamp, sun and a book. This is supported by a red banner on which its motto in Sanskrit ‘विद्ययाऽमृतमश्नुते’ meaning ‘Knowledge Imparts Mortality’ is written. All these are surrounded by a circular border which bears the name on top and a pair of laurels on bottom.

INDIAN INSTITUTE OF SCIENCE EDUCATION AND RESEARCH BHOPAL Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Bhopal (IISERB) was established in 2008. IISER is a degree-granting autonomous institute. Its emblem has a light blue tone circle with a red atomic structure, above which two persons are celebrating. Below this its motto in Sanskrit ‘विद्ययाऽमृतमश्नुते’ meaning ‘Enjoying the Nectar of Education' is written. These are eccentrically placed inside a red bordered circle, Around which on a border its name is written in blue. This is further outlined by a red circle.

INDIAN INSTITUTE OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY BHOPAL Indian Institute of Information Technology Bhopal (IIIT-Bhopal), is one of the IIITs in PPP model. Its emblem is circular and has a dominant blue border, on which its name is written in Devanagari and English. It ensconces its acronym as a monogram in the national tricolour. The dot of first ‘i’ is depicted as a ‘WiFi’ symbol and the t’s horizontal stroke is extended towards left to give symmetry and balance to the logo.
