SEACOM SKILLS UNIVERSITY Seacom Skills University is established under West Bengal Government’s policy (Vide Official Gazette Notification No. : 142-Edn (U) dated 31/01/2013), in line with the provisions under section 2(f) of the University Grant Commission (UGC) Act, 1956, as has been passed as Seacom Skills University Act, 2014 by the West Bengal Legislative Assembly (West Bengal Act VI of 2014). The emblem of the university has a helm of a ship placed above an anchor of a ship four directions marked as N,E,S and W and ensconced in a golden circular border designed as a compass with four directional arrows. The emblem is inspired by the principle of navigating a ship using the compass, helm and the anchor to manage and run a university to reach the desired destination safely. NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY ROURKELA NIT Rourkela is one of the premier national level institutions for technical education in the country and is funded by the Government of India. The Government of India has elevated the Regional Engineering College, Rourkela to a deemed university under the name of National Institute of Technology, Rourkela. The emblem of NITR has a nine toothed gear wheel which houses a torch, compass, set square and a flash of lightning. This is supported by a semicircular banner at the bottom, with its name and a horizontal banner below that with the name of the place.

PES UNIVERSITY

PES UNIVERSITY PES University, located in Bangalore is one of the country’s leading teaching and research universities. Founded in 1972, PES is now amongst India’s premier teaching and research universities. Its current logo has a compass rose, also called a wind rose, rose of the winds or compass star in blue colour placed in an orange circle. It is surrounded by a thick blue circle with a niche at the north point, symbolising the northern point or the pole of the compass lets the students break the boundaries into the new world. The name of the university is written adjacent to the emblem.
