MAHARASHTRA TOURISM DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION The orange colour emblem of the Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC) has a monogram of its acronym depicted as a butterfly referring to its freedom and colourfulness, with its acronym written on the right. At the bottom, its name is written. The colour orange is widely prevalent in cultural activities in Maharashtra and it symbolises energy, vitality, creativity, inspiration, joy and happiness.

HOMI BHABHA NATIONAL INSTITUTE

HOMI BHABHA NATIONAL INSTITUTE The Homi Bhabha National Institute (HBNI) was established in 2005 under Section 3 of the UGC Act. HBNI has centres in Mumbai, Kalpakkam, Indore, Kolkata, Gandhinagar, Bhubaneswar, Allahabad and Chennai as its constituent institutions and an off-campus centre in Bhubaneswar. The emblem of the institute has a monogram of its acronym depicted as a butterfly supporting the red glowing rays depicting nuclear fuel rods and crested by a structure of an atom. All these are ensconced in a white border with red outlines carrying the name of the institute in Devanagari and English. The atomic structure symbolises the core domain of the university and the butterfly symbolises transformation, change, rebirth and renewal.

STAYFREE Stayfree is an American brand of feminine hygiene products, including maxi pads, ultra thin pads and female wipes. On July 31, 2013, Energizer bought Stayfree from Johnson & Johnson. Its light blue colour logo is a word mark of its name written using an italics font with smooth transition of strokes and curved corners. The letter ‘a’ is topped by a motif of butterfly meaning the comfort and freshness the user may feel.

INDIAN INSTITUTE OF SCIENCE EDUCATION AND RESEARCH THIRUVANANTHAPURAM The Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Thiruvananthapuram (IISER TVM) is dedicated to scientific research and science education of international standards in 2008. Its logo implies the beauty of infinity and integrity - the quest for infinite knowledge...the aim of integrating various branches of science...thus was born our emblem, reflecting the vision of IISER TVM; yes!...it wants to tell you what it means; because, the students and faculty of IISER TVM designed it; just have a look at it.....you will find the symbol of infinity, in a cool light blue colour; the same blue which gives beauty to the infinite sky and the deep ocean. The symbol of infinity is definitely mathematical, anyway it is not just mathematics- there are the DNA strands which hold it together; on the other side, you might see the pi, which extends and becomes one with the bonds of chemistry running through the strands.

SMART CITYMISSION

SMART CITY MISSION Smart City Mission was launched by the Hon’ Prime Minister on June 25, 2015. The main objective of the mission is to promote cities that provide core infrastructure, clean and sustainable environment and give a decent quality of life to their citizens through the application of ‘smart solutions’. The mission aims to drive economic growth and improve quality of life through comprehensive work on social, economic, physical and institutional pillars of the city. The pictorial emblem of this mission is a butterfly, transforming itself from a grey and dull colour to the bright and vibrant colours. The transformation is shown by the pixelation of the picture and the letter 'i'. This also uses the colours of the national flag - orange and green. The name and tagline ‘Mission Transform Nation’ is written below. The elements of the logo are aligned to the right to give a forward and upward looking visual momentum.

MANGALORE INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY & ENGINEERING

MANGALORE INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY & ENGINEERING Mangalore Institute of Technology & Engineering (MITE) was established in the year 2007. It is offering ten Undergraduate programmes in engineering, three Postgraduate programmes in engineering, business administration computer applications and seven research programmes. It has an interesting emblem in orange and blue colours. A hexagonal box simulating a cell of a beehive, from which a butterfly breaks through, means that the young minds after their education in this institute shall emerge out as colourful and vibrant butterflies benefitting the open world. This is topped by its acronym and its tagline ‘Invent Solutions’ is placed at the bottom.
