SARDAR BEANT SINGH STATE UNIVERSITY Sardar Beant Singh State University (SBSSU), Gurdaspur was established by the Government of Punjab as an autonomous institution through registered society. The foundation stone was laid on February 28,1994 and the college was inaugurated on August 20, 1995 by the Chief Minister Sardar Beant Singh. The emblem of the university has a circular gear wheel outer with red circular outline. The central light colour circle has the motifs of a factory with smoking chimney, a dish antenna, a computer, a mechanical equipment and a banner with the motto in Punjabi ‘ਨਿਸਚੈ ਕਰ ਅਪਨੀ ਜੀਤ ਕਰੋ’ meaning ‘Make Sure You Win’ inscribed on it. These are ensconced by a yellow circular border, which carries the name of the university and its place. The gear wheel signifies interconnectedness; efficiency and precision; progress and advancement; synchronisation and timing and order and structure and the motifs denote the fields of engineering the university offer

SARDAR VALLABHBHAI NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY SURAT This Institute was established in 1961 as one of the RECs for imparting technical education in Civil, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering in the year 1983-84. The Central Government on the advice of the University Grants Commission, has declared the Sardar Vallabhbhai Regional College of Engineering & Technology (SVREC), Surat to Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology (SVNIT), Surat with status of ‘Deemed University’ with effect from December 4, 2002. Its emblem has a circle divided into four quadrants. One quadrant houses an image of industry and chimney, second quadrant houses a transmission tower, the third a flying rocket and the fourth one a dam. This is surrendered by a gear wheel with a border, on which the name of the institute and place are written. It is supported by a laurel on both sides. At the bottom its motto in Sanskrit ‘विज्ञानम सारथिनः श्याथ’ is written on a white border

STATUE OF UNITY Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel is highly respected leader of Indian independence struggle and for his leadership in uniting the 562 princely states of India to form the Union of India. The Statue of Unity is a testimonial to his life, a role model of unity and statesmanship. This is the world's tallest statue, with a height of 182 metres (597 feet), which is almost double the height of the Statue of Liberty, USA. This stands on the isle of Sadhu-Bet in River Narmada, at Ekta Nagar, District Rajpipla in the State of Gujarat, with the majestic Vindhyachal and Satpuda Mountain Ranges in the backdrop. The Statue of Unity has a viewing gallery at 135 metres, which can accommodate up to 200 visitors at a time and offers an expansive view of the dam and the surrounding beautiful mountain ranges of Satpuda and Vindhyachal. This is built with an aim to inspire generations. Its logo is has the text ‘Statue of UNITY, ‘Ek Bharat, Shreshta Bharat’ in black bold sans serif face
