MAGADH UNIVERSITY Magadh University, Bodh Gaya, established on March 1, 1962 is one of the largest universities in Bihar. This university is a brainchild of Shri Satyendra Narayan Singh and was built on the land donated by the Mahant of Bodh-Gaya math Shri Satanand Giri in 1964. The emblem of the university is a rectangle in portrait form in red colour holding the motifs of Buddha vihara in the backdrop of a lotus holding the image of Bodhi tree and supported on both sides by a pair of wheels. Its motto in Sanskrit ‘अमृतं तु विद्या’ meaning ‘Knowledge is Nectar’ is written on the border at the top and the border at the bottom holds its name in Devanagari. The vihara denotes the Bodh Gaya where Lord Buddha attained realisation and the lotus denotes purity, enlightenment, rebirth, transformation, personal growth, resilience, overcoming obstacles and divine beauty. FAKIR MOHAN UNIVERSITY The Fakir Mohan University (FMU), Vyasa Vihar, Balasore was established by the Government of Odisha, under Section 32 of the Odisha Universities Act 5, of 1989 and it was notified through the Government's Notification No. 973 dated July 3, 1999. The university has also been duly recognized under Sections 2(f)  and 12 (B) of the UGC Act. The university is located at VyasaVihar and Nuapadhi. The insignia of the university has an open book with an ink pot and quill pen symbolising, education, knowledge, wisdom, ideas, communication and recording, surmounted by its motto in Sanskrit ‘अमृतं तु विद्या’ meaning ‘Knowledge is Nectar’. These are ensconced by a pair of concentric circles, around which on a border with a pair of outlines its tagline in Odia ‘ସତ୍ୟ ସାଧନା ସ୍ବିମାନ’ meaning ‘Truth Practice Self Respect’ is written. At the bottom of all these on a rectangular panel the name of the university is written.  

CENTRAL UNIVERSITY OF KERALA

CENTRAL UNIVERSITY OF KERALA The Central University of Kerala, Kasaragod, came into being in 2009 under the Central Universities Act 2009 (Parliament Act No. 25 of 2009). The university is founded on the noble vision of a ‘Caring Wisdom’ and is guided by the lofty ideals of academic and social commitment. The emblem of the university was designed by Kanayi Kunhiraman. Its circular dark blue logo has a unique shape and prominent shape evolved from its acronym looking like that of a petal of lotus with a cut out like a tilak on top and an inverse ‘U’ like cut out at the bottom. In the cut out at bottom a glowing sun is placed above its acronym. Its motto in Sanskrit ‘अमृतं तु विद्या’ meaning ‘Knowledge is Eternal’ placed below its that supported by a book. All these are ensconced in a blue circular border on which its name in Devanagari and English are written.
