YOGAATHMA FOUNDATION The brown colour emblem of Yogaathma Foundation is a 16 petal lotus spread housing a smiling face in the centre crested by a flame and supported by its name. The lotus refers to purity, enlightenment, rebirth, transformation, personal growth, resilience, overcoming obstacles and divine beauty; the flame refers to enlightenment, hope, life, truth and the regenerative power; the smiling face denotes contentment and peace and the colour brown symbolises earthiness, simplicity, stability, humility, warmth, reliability, endurance, timelessness and tradition.

ALL INDIA INSTITUTE OF SPEECH AND HEARING The blue circular seal of All India Institute of Speech and Hearing (AIISH) has a face with mouth and a pair of ears with five circular waves holding a Staff crested by burning torch and a serpent. On both sides of the torch its motto in Sanskrit ‘पुरुषस्य वाक् रसः’ (Verse 1.1.2, Chandogya Upanishad) meaning ‘Speech is the Essence of Human Beings’ These are ensconced by a white border with blue outlines bearing its name and place. The torch denotes enlightenment, hope, life, truth and the regenerative power and the Staff represents medicine and medical profession.

DAVANGERE UNIVERSITY

DAVANGERE UNIVERSITY The emblem of Davangere University (DU) is designed on the theme to save the planet earth with the theme of  ‘inclusion and sustainability through education’. The outline of faces in the logo depicts the youth power moving ahead with a mission of development for humanity. The laurels on either side of the globe signify the sustainable approach to protect the environment and earth. The book symbolises the knowledge which is open to everyone to achieve the end. The motto in Sanskrit ‘तमसो मा  ज्योतिर्गमय’ (Yajnavalkya, 1.3.28, Pavamana Mantra, Brihadaranyaka Upanishad) meaning ‘From Darkness Lead me to Light’ is inscribed on a banner placed below the globe. The colour scheme of the logo relates to the atmosphere, colour brown is for mother earth, orange for learning, green for life and environment and colour yellow for expansion.

KARUNYA INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY AND SCIENCES

KARUNYA INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY AND SCIENCES Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences (KITS), was founded by Dr. D. G. S. Dhinakaran and the present Chancellor Dr. Paul Dhinakaran in 1986 as an engineering colleg. It was granted autonomous status in 1999 and declared Deemed to be University on June 23, 2004. The emblem of the university has a silhouette profile of a human face with a gear wheel place on the head and a hand holding a yellow ochre torch with an orange flame. Below the hand and on the left of the torch its motto ‘Arise and Shine’ is written Its name is written in red. The human face indicates that the well being of humanity is central to our entire endeavours and that we shall never forget them in the midst of our equations and diagrams. The gear wheel is treated as the human eye, in appreciation of the importance of technology in today’s world.
