VIDYAVARDHAKA COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING Vidyavardhaka Sangha (VVS) was established in 1949 by Late Sahukar Channaiah and Late K. Puttaswamy to impart quality education to all sections of the society. There are ten educational institutions starting from nursery to engineering college under the aegis of VVS. Vidyavardhaka College of Engineering (VVCE) is one of the prestigious engineering colleges in Karnataka. Established in 1997. VVCE is an autonomous institute affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi. Its emblem is a gearwheel with sixteen teeth in a dark violet colour encompassing a yellow border and a light green circle. The border carries the name of the college. The light green circle has a magnetic circuit, a manufacturing plant, a satellite, a dish antenna and a transmission tower, a tree, a bridge, a computer and a flask. This covers all the major areas of learning in the college. Its acronym is placed below the emblem.

CENTRAL UNIVERSITY OF TAMILNADU The Government of India founded the Central University of Tamil Nadu (CUTN), along with eight other Central Universities, through an Act of Parliament in 2009. The university started functioning from November 2009, at the Collectorate Annexe at Thiruvarur. The University has established 12 Schools under which 27 Departments function. Its emblem is in the form of a shield with a crest of flames in yellow-orange colours. The top portion of the shield, which is separated by a horizontal double head arrow line, has its name written in Devanagari topped by a rising sun. The portion below this is divided into three parts with a symbol of recycling materials, a graduating scholar in a halo and a stem of plant shooting from a pair of meshed gear wheels, which are supported by a pair of blue ribbons. DR B R AMBEDKAR NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY JALANDHAR Dr B R Ambedkar National Institute of Technology Jalandhar (NITJ) was established in the year 1987 as Regional Engineering College and was given the status of National Institute of Technology (Deemed University) by the Government of India on October 17, 2002 under the aegis of Ministry of Education, New Delhi. The gearwheel shaped emblem of this institute has a border in which its name is written in English and the circle inside the border houses an atomic structure picture with a backdrop of a glowing sun. AT the bottom in a banner its tagline in Sanskrit ‘सरस्वती नमस्तुभ्यम्‘ meaning ‘Obeisance to Saraswati’.
