CHURCH OF NORTH INDIA The Church of North India is formed out of the result of a series of consultations, with a view to Church Union began in 1929. The consultations reached its fourth and final edition of roundtables in 1965 and the Church Union in North India was inaugurated on November 29, 1970 in Nagpur. The logo is designed by Frank Wesley. The circle in which the whole badge is enclosed is a symbol of eternity, for it is without beginning and without end. Dominating the whole design is the golden Cross, the universally accepted badge of the Christian. It stands for self giving and self-sacrifice, for patient endurance of suffering accepted for the sake of others. Gold also suggests victory. The is set against a red background, the colour of blood and this is a symbol of sacrifice and self-giving. Red is also in liturgical usage the colour which stands for the Holy Spirit.
