INDIAN SUPER LEAGUE

INDIAN SUPER LEAGUE The Indian Super League (ISL) is India’s unrivalled football championship which kicked off on October 12, 2014. The inaugural winners of the league were ATK FC, while Chennaiyin FC were the winners of the second season. The league is co-promoted by Reliance, Star India and supported by the All India Football Federation (AIFF). India’s leading industrialists and celebrities from sports as well as the Indian film industry have heavily invested in the league’s eleven franchises based in the following cities: Chennai, Bhubaneswar, Goa, Guwahati, Kochi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Bengaluru and Jamshedpur. The logo has an abstract football in orangish red and dark red made up of hexagons. INDIAN INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY BHUBANESWAR The birth of the Indian Institute of Technology Bhubaneswar, (IITBBSR) came on the 60th anniversary of the country's Independence on August 15, 2007. The main campus of IIT Bhubaneswar is situated at the foot of Barunei Hill which is famous for its rich history of sustained resistance during 1803 – 1804 against the British occupation of Khurda Garh, the last independent fort of India. Its emblem has a bicolour - blue and cyan, motif of cereal growing from a book which was started in 2008. It grows out of a circular border with its name written in Hindi. A banner at the bottom bears its name in English.

XIM UNIVERSITY

XIM UNIVERSITY In October 1987 Xavier Institute of Management Bhubaneswar (XIMB) was established. It grew into an university and Xavier University was established on July 6, 2013 as per the provisions of the Xavier University, Odisha Act, 2013. On May 11, 2021, the Xavier University, Odisha (Amendment) Act 2021 was passed in the Odisha Legislative Assembly, renaming Xavier University as XIM University. Its emblem is a four pointed white cross (adopted from San Damiano Cross) in light blue background with its four counters hosting an open book, globe held by a hand, burning lamp and group of students linked by a circle. In the centre of this assemblage is another cross. This is ensconced by a circle with pointers on eight sides. A white border with black outline has ‘XIM UNIVERSITY’ and ‘Semper Excelsius’ written on top and bottom and supported on either side by a light blue coloured laurel.

LALIT KALA AKADEMI

LALIT KALA AKADEMI To promote and propagate understanding of Indian art, both within and outside the country, the Government of India established Lalit Kala Akademi (National Akademi of Arts) at New Delhi in 1954. The Akademi has regional centres called Rashtriya Lalit Kala Kendras at Lucknow, Kolkata, Chennai, Garhi in New Delhi and Bhubaneswar with workshop facilities in painting, sculpture, print-making and ceramics. It has sub centres in Shimla, Ahmedabad, Agartala and Patna. Since its inception, the Akademi has been organising national exhibition of contemporary Indian art with 15 national awards,. Every three years, the Akademi also organises Triennial India, an international exhibition of contemporary art in New Delhi. The Akademi honours eminent artists and art historians every year by electing them as Fellows of the Akademi.
