DEPARTMENT OF TOURISM, WEST BENGAL The emblem of Department of Tourism, West Bengal (DTWB) is a wordmark of ‘Bengal’ written in a sans serif experimental face in abstract multicolours. This is surmounted by ‘Experience’ and supported by ‘The Sweetest Part of India’. The ascending and descending strokes terminate in an angle and counters are kept open by the descenders. The logo is prominent and interesting.

RANI RASHMONI GREEN UNIVERSITY The West Bengal Green University (Amendment) Bill, 2018 was passed in the Assembly on November 26 after the State Government had decided that the name of the West Bengal Green University (WBGU) be changed as Rani Rashmoni Green University (RRGU) in commemoration of the two hundred and twenty fifth birth anniversary of Rani Rashmoni. The emblem of the university in the tones of green has a light green nib, pages of an open book and three stars atop. Below these motifs its name and place are written. The nib of a pen symbolises freedom, intelligence, creativity, professionalism, determination and diligence and the open book symbolises knowledge, wisdom and education. The three stars may represent the Orion Belt and these stars are considered a sign of protection and strength from the universe. The stars are also considered as a source of power and strength. NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY DURGAPUR

NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY DURGAPUR The National Institute of Technology, Durgapur known formerly as Regional Engineering College, Durgapur, was established by an Act of Parliament in 1960. Its emblem has a concave nonagon with a chequered border; a circle is placed and on which its name is written. Inside the circle in an upward looking equilateral triangle a burning lamp is placed. On the base of the pedestal ‘Durgapur’ is written and on the banner at the bottom ‘उद्योगः पुरुषश्य लक्षणम्’ meaning ‘Industry is a Characteristic of a Man’ is written.

WEST BENGAL POLICE

WEST BENGAL POLICE The West Bengal  Police is one of the two police forces of the Indian state of West Bengal. (The other is the Kolkata Police, which has a separate jurisdiction.) The West Bengal Police was reorganized under provisions of the Police Act 1861 during the British Raj. It is headed by an officer designated as the Director General of Police who reports to the State  Government through the Home (Police) Department. The arms of the West Bengal Police are parted per pale Gules and Vert, charged with the emblem of the service being the initials ‘WBP’ within a garland and crested with the Asoka capital, and with the title of the service below, all Or. EMBLEM OF WEST BENGAL

EMBLEM OF WEST BENGAL The emblem consists of a circle depicting a globe with the state of West Bengal highlighted by a representation of the Bengali alphabet 'পশ্চিমবঙ্গ সরকার'. The National Emblem of India appears above the globe and the emblem includes the name of the state in the English. The central element of the emblem was also used by the Biswa Bangla campaign to promote sale of traditional West Bengali handicrafts and textiles. The current emblem was designed by Mamata Banerjee, the Chief Minister of the state and was officially adopted in January 2018. This logo, known as ‘Banglarmukh’ or Face of Bengal, depicted a female face surround by a red veil.
