NILAMBER-PITAMBER UNIVERSITY

NILAMBER-PITAMBER UNIVERSITY The circular seal of the Nilamber-Pitamber University (NPU) has a blue border which carries the name of the university in Devanagari and its motto in Sanskrit ‘तमसो मा ज्योतिर्गमय’ (Yajnavalkya,1.3.28, Pavamana Mantra, Brihadaranyaka Upanishad) meaning ‘Lead me from Darkness to Light’ is written. This ensconces a black torch with brown flame, an open book and supported by three pairs of green leaves with stems. The torch with flame is an emblem of enlightenment, hope, life, truth and the regenerative power; the open book symbolises knowledge, learning, education and wisdom and the green plants denote agriculture, nature, growth, balance, harmony, environment, prosperity, vitality, prestige, wealth and being very down to earth. 

RAIGANJ UNIVERSITY

RAIGANJ UNIVERSITY Raiganj University was formed through the Raiganj University Act (West Bengal Act XXVI of 2014) on February 3, 2015. It is located in Raiganj, West Bengal. Its square emblem has a traditional Bengali lamp with flame in the middle of a square whose border is divided into four blocks. The top block has its name written in red colour Devanagari and the bottom block has its motto in Sanskrit ‘तमसो मा ज्योतिर्गमय’ (1.3.28, Bṛhadāraṇyaka Upanishad) meaning ‘Lead Me from Darkness to Light’ is written. Both the side blocks each have three green swastikas. The traditional lamp symbolises signifies light, illumination, awakening, devotion, purity, guidance, protection, hope and prosperity and the green swastikas symbolise well being and good fortune. 

RIMT UNIVERSITY

RIMT UNIVERSITY RIMT University was started in 1998 by Shri Om Parkash Bansal Educational and Social Welfare Trust. The red and blue emblem of the university has an open book crested by a traditional lamp and decorated on both sides by floral designs. At the bottom a blue colour lotus is supporting all these motifs. Below the lotus on a banner its motto in Sanskrit ‘तमसो मा ज्योतिर्गमय’ meaning ‘Lead Me from Darkness to Light’ is written.The traditional lamp symbolises light, illumination, awakening, devotion, purity, guidance, protection, hope and prosperity; the open book symbolises knowledge and wisdom ; the lotus symbolises purity, enlightenment, rebirth, transformation, personal growth, resilience, overcoming obstacles and divine beauty; the colour red  signifies passion, power, strength, courage, determination, energy and the colour blue symbolises serenity, calmness, trust, spirituality, calmness, wisdom, freedom, openness, intelligence and loyalty.

INTERNATIONAL INSTITUTE FOR POPULATION SCIENCES The International Institute for Population Sciences (IIPS), Mumbai, known as the Demographic Training and Research Centre (DTRC) till 1970, was established in July 1956 under the joint sponsorship of Sir Dorabji Tata Trust, the Government of India and the United Nations. It was declared as a 'Deemed to be University' on August 14, 1985 by the Government of India. The insignia of the institute has a circular emblem and a wheel made of icons of twelve persons holding hands placed inside a circle and surrounded by a pair of laurels and supported by a traditional lamp. These are ensconced by a border with the name and place of the institute and its motto in Sanskrit ‘तमसो मा ज्योतिर्गमय’ meaning ‘Lead Me from Darkness to Light’ are written. INDIAN LAW INSTITUTE Indian Law Institute (ILI) was founded in 1956 with the objective of promoting and conducting legal research. The Institute is an autonomous body registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860. The Institute's Library is one of the best libraries in the country with more than seventy five thousand titles. The emblem of the institute is in the shape of a peepal leaf, which signifies spiritually the paradise of God, according to Chandogya Upanishad and Atharva Ved and the gods are said to hold their councils under the tree. The inner red portion has an open book crested by a traditional lamp on a leaf shaped background with a decorative border. SARVAJANIK UNIVERSITY The Sarvajanik University (SU) was established on June 1, 2021 by the Sarvajanik Education Society under Gujarat Private Universities Act No. 8 of 2009. The emblem of the university has a nine coloured monogram of its acronym ‘SU’ written using a single line with its head and tail going beyond the grey circle in which it is placed. Below the monogram the motif of pink lotus is placed on a waterbody and above the monogram its motto in Sanskrit ‘तमसो मा ज्योतिर्गमय’ meaning ‘Lead Me from Darkness to Light’ is written. At its right the name of the university is written in black and grey. At the bottom its slogan ‘Inclusive Integrated Innovative’ is written. CHAITANYA Chaitanya ‘Deemed to be University’ was founded by the Viswa Bharati Education Society in 1991. The emblem of the university has Goddess Saraswati, the God of learning, knowledge and wisdom placed on the map of India in a circle. This is crested by an open book, which supports a rising sun. All these are placed in a light yellow coloured circle. This circle is circumscribed by a blue border with a red borderline carrying the name, status and the address of the university. At the bottom, on a light green banner its motto ‘तमसो मा ज्योतिर्गमय’ (Yajnavalkya,1.3.28, Pavamana Mantra, Brihadaranyaka Upanishad) meaning ‘Lead me from Darkness to Light’ is written. The open book symbolises knowledge and wisdom and the sun symbolises light, universal prosperity and path for growth.

SHRI VAISHNAV VIDYAPEETH VISHWAVIDYALAYA Shri Vaishnav Vidyapeeth Vishwavidyalaya (SVVV) is a private university established by the Shri Vaishnav Vidyapeeth Trust (SVVT). The university’s emblem has a torch in the colours a flame - from blue to red is circumscribed by its name in Devanagari and English. Below the torch its motto in Sanskrit ‘तमसो मा ज्योतिर्गमय’ meaning ‘Lead Me from Darkness to Light’ is written. The torch and colourful flame signifies enlightenment and hope; wisdom and knowledge.
