KRISHI VIGYAN KENDRA, KOLASIB, MIZORAM The green and yellow emblem of Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Kolasib, Mizoram (KVK) has a green hand holding a circular motif with a green border on which its name, pace and its year of inception are inscribed. Inside the circle a bold motif of cereal with yellow colour crests and green colour leaves are placed. This is an attractive, simple and meaningful emblem serving its purpose well. The colour green symbolises agriculture, nature, growth, balance, harmony, environment, prosperity, vitality, prestige, wealth and being very down to earth and the colour yellow denotes happiness, energy, vitality, focus and creativity.

INDIRA GANDHI KRISHI VISHWAVIDYALAYA The blue and yellow circular emblem of Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidyalaya (IGKV) has a motif of a crest of cereal sprouting from flowing water and surmounted by its motto in Sanskrit ‘कृषि जीवनस्य आधारम्’ meaning ‘Agriculture is the Basis of Life’ and its year of inception. These are ensconced by a yellow circular border which carries the name and place of the university in Devanagari and this is further circumscribed by a blue border with the name and place of the university inscribed in English. The water and cereal represents agricultural growth and development facilitated by the university.
