MAHA MUMBAI METRO OPERATION CORPORATION LIMITED The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) has established the Maha Mumbai Metro Operation Corporation Limited (MMMOCL) on June 10, 2019 to carry out the Operations and Maintenance of all the upcoming metro corridors in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR). Its insignia has an emblem made up by three ‘M’s placed in an infinite loop depicting the metro rail route and the colour green makes it feel environment friendly. Below this its name in Hindi and English are written in blue colour.

NOIDA METRO RAIL CORPORATION LIMITED Noida Metro Rail Corporation Limited (NMRC) is a company incorporated under the provisions of the Companies Act 2013, having its registered office at in Noida. NMRC is a Joint Venture Company of Government of India and Government of Uttar Pradesh established for the purpose of planning, building and establishing of mass transit and other urban transport and people mover systems of all types and disciplines. The NMRC has opened its corridor covering the length of 29.707km between Noida and Greater Noida and operational since January 26, 2019. The stretch consisting of 21 stations out of which 15 are in Noida and 6 in Greater Noida. Its emblem has ‘N’ in green colour, treated as track and as arrows pointing two opposing directions symbolising environmental friendliness, transport and rails. This is ensconced by a red circle meaning safety and security.

UTTAR PRADESH MERO RAIL CORPORATION

UTTAR PRADESH MERO RAIL CORPORATION Uttar Pradesh Rail Corporation (UPMRC) is a joint venture company, which operates the Lucknow Metro and Kanpur Metro. The other metro projects like Agra Metro, Meerut Metro, Varanasi Metro, Allahabad Metro, Gorakhpur Metro and Jhansi Metro, in the State of Uttar Pradesh are also under the ambit of UPMRC. The Noida Metro is operated by Noida Metro Rail Corporation (MRC). LMRC was formed as a Special Purpose Vehicle by the Government of Uttar Pradesh in 2013 to build and operate Lucknow Metro. In 2017, the Lucknow Metro was inaugurated and opened to the public and in 2021, the Kanpur Metro was opened. Kanpur Metro was the fastest built and commissioned metro system in the world built in 24 months. Its emblem was designed by Pooja Yadav in brown using alphabet ‘M’, connectivity grid and historical Rumi Darwaza and the text below uses Gotham Bold and Gotham Book in grey.

HYDERABAD METRO RAIL LIMITED Hyderabad Metro Rail Limited (HMRL) is being developed as one of the largest modern transport systems in the world based upon the PPP model. The Metro Rail system under construction is a completely elevated system, generally run in the central median of the road. The viaduct structure for the elevated system is a box girder carrying two tracks on a single pier located on the median of the road. The track gauge is a Standard Gauge (1435 mm) and the electrical traction is 25 kV AC, 50 Hz overhead traction system. The signalling system caters to the needs of a designed speed of 80 KMPH. It is the second longest operational metro network in India after the Delhi Metro (285 stations) with 57 stations and the lines are arranged in a secant model. Its emblem is a red circle ensconced by a blue border that gives backdrop for a speeding metro intersecting with the background. KOCHI METRO RAIL LIMITED The Kochi Metro Rail Limited (KMRL) was started in August 2, 2011 with the objective to make Kochi the first city in India, where the entire public transport system: the metro, the buses, the boats, the autorickshaws and the taxis work together as a seamless integrated system; with a common timetable, common ticketing and centralised command and control. is a joint venture company with equal equity contribution of Government of India and Government of Kerala. KMRL’s emblem designed by Tata Elxsi and Brash Brands is a contemporary one with bold geometrical strokes of broad intersecting lines mimicking multi modal transport networks. This greenish blue emblem is a vivid visualisation of its acronym KMRL.

JAIPUR METRO RAIL CORPORATION LTD. Jaipur Metro Rail Corporation Ltd. (JMRCL) is a rapid transit system in the city of Jaipur, Rajasthan, India. Construction on the mostly elevated part of the first line, called Phase 1A, comprising 9.63 kilometre of route from Mansarovar to Chandpole Bazaar, started on November 13, 2010. Jaipur Metro began commercial service bewteeen Chandpole and and Mansarovar on June 3, 2015. This is India's sixth metro rail system. It is touted as one of the fastest built metro systems in India and is the first metro in India to run on double-storey elevated road and metro track. Its red colour emblem is interesting for its simplicity and attractiveness. It has alphabets J and M written in geometrical fashion symbolising tracks and elevated road and track ensconced in a circle. Below the circle, its name Jaipur Metro is written.

CHENNAI METRO RAIL PROJECT

CHENNAI METRO RAIL PROJECT The Government of Tamil Nadu created a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) for implementing the Chennai Metro Rail Project. This SPV named as Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL) was incorporated on December 3, 2007 under the Companies Act. It has now been converted into a Joint Venture of Government of India and Government of Tamil Nadu with equal equity holding. Its ultramarine blue emblem made up of geometrical shapes has a pair of circular lines representing ‘C’s, embellished with a stylised ‘M’. The parallel blue strokes represent tracks and the two vortexes represent elevation and the trough represents underground routes.

KOLKATA METRO RAIL CORPORATION LTD Kolkata Metro Rail Corporation Ltd (KMRCL) is a Government of India enterprise implementing Kolkata (East-West Metro) Corridor Project. KMRCL's Project upon completion will connect Salt Lake Sector-V in the East and Howrah Maidan in the West. There shall be six elevated stations and six underground stations. The line will have interchange with existing terminals of Indian railways at Howrah and Sealdah. Its green red and blue emblem has a pair of concentric hexagons symbolising underground, safety and environment friendliness; has two arrow heads in blue and red facing opposite directions meaning to-and-fro transport.

METRO RAILWAY, KOLKATA Metro Railway, Kolkata is the first underground Metro in India. It extends from Dakshineswar to Kavi Subhash Metro station near Garia, on the busy North-South axis of Kolkata over a length of 31.365 Kms with 26 Stations and 15.70 Kms. of underground section. The Dum Dum - Tollygunge corridor was first selected for implementation and work started on December 29, 1972 and the first line of about 3.4 km between Esplanade and Bhowanipur in India was completed on October 24, 1984 and thrown open for the public. In Phase-I, a length of 16.45 Kms. from Dum Dum to Tollygunge (Mahanayak Uttam Kumar) completed in 1995 and in Phase-II a length of 5.834 Kms from Mahanayak Uttam Kumar to Kavi Nazrul Metro station is completed in August, 2009. BANGALORE METRO RAIL CORPORATION LIMITED Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL), a joint venture of Government of India and Government of Karnataka is a Special Purpose Vehicle entrusted with the responsibility of implementation of Bangalore Metro Rail Project. The logo was designed by Jayanth Jain and Mahendra Kumar of A Brand New Story. The emblem in purple with green dots, depict a rangoli which graces the front yards of houses, which is a part of Bengaluru’s culture. Its never-ending loop signifies ‘infinite’ coverage of metro lines. The tagline ‘namma metro’ in green is a friendly phrase used by Kannadigas.

DELHI METRO RAIL CORPORATION The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation also called Delhi Metro is a mass rapid transit (MRT) system serving Delhi and its satellite cities of Ghaziabad, Faridabad, Gurgaon, Noida, Bahadurgarh and Ballabhgarh in the National Capital Region of India began its commercial operation on December 25, 2002. The DMRC, was established in 1995. The network consists of 10 colour-coded lines serving 286 stations with a total length of 348.12 kilometres. The emblem of Delhi Metro signifies ‘safety, speed and reliability’. No competition was held to decide on the logo of Delhi Metro. While some advertising agencies were engaged to come up with some designs, finally it was developed and finalised in-house. The logo is a graphic depiction of a rail network inside a tunnel and signifies safety, speed and reliability.
