RAJASTHAN UNIVERSITY OF VETERINARY AND ANIMAL SCIENCES The Rajasthan University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (RAJUVAS), Bikaner is a constituted body established under Sub-section(3) of Section 1 of the Rajasthan University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences Act, 2010. The university came into existence on May 18, 2010. The emblem of the university has a Caduceus the staff of Hermes with a pair of wings and entwined by a pair of serpents representing medicine and medical profession crested by its name in Devanagari and ensconced by a blue border which carries its name and place in English. It is supported by a pair of floral laurels and below these its motto in Sanskrit ‘पशुधनम् नित्यं सर्वलोकोपकारकम्’ meaning ‘Wealth of Livestock is Useful to the World Daily’. The laurels denote success, victory and achievement.
