PUNJAB AGRICULTURAL UNIVERSITY Punjab Agricultural University was established in 1962 to serve the state of erstwhile Punjab on July 8, 1963. Haryana Agricultural University was carved out of this university in February 1970 and HP Krishi Vishvavidalya established at Palampur campus in July 1970 by Acts of Parliament. Its emblem has a head of wheat plant with kernels in orange colour placed above flowing rivers and supported by an open book and a plough on a green shield. The shield is crested by a rising sun and a blue banner bearing its motto ‘Learn and Serve’ is placed above the shield at the bottom. These are circumscribed by its name and its year of establishment. All these are ensconced in a yellow circle with black border line. VIDYAVARDHAKA COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING Vidyavardhaka Sangha (VVS) was established in 1949 by Late Sahukar Channaiah and Late K. Puttaswamy to impart quality education to all sections of the society. There are ten educational institutions starting from nursery to engineering college under the aegis of VVS. Vidyavardhaka College of Engineering (VVCE) is one of the prestigious engineering colleges in Karnataka. Established in 1997. VVCE is an autonomous institute affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi. Its emblem is a gearwheel with sixteen teeth in a dark violet colour encompassing a yellow border and a light green circle. The border carries the name of the college. The light green circle has a magnetic circuit, a manufacturing plant, a satellite, a dish antenna and a transmission tower, a tree, a bridge, a computer and a flask. This covers all the major areas of learning in the college. Its acronym is placed below the emblem.

C. V. RAMAN GLOBAL UNIVERSITY

C. V. RAMAN GLOBAL UNIVERSITY C. V. Raman Global University, Odisha was established through the Odisha Act 01 of 2020. CGU, Odisha started as a degree level engineering college named as C.V. Raman College of Engineering (CVRCE) in the year 1997. Its circular emblem in grey, red and white is simple, clean and crisp. In the middle of the circle, a shield with a book, pen and a traditional lamp is placed. This is surrounded by a banner with the name of the university. Below the shield, the name of the State is inscribed. At the bottom of the circle in a banner the year of the establishment of the University is written.

SARADA VILAS COLLEGE

SARADA VILAS COLLEGE Sarada Vilas College, located in the heart of the city of Mysore, was established in the year 1945 as an Intermediate college. Seven years later, it was upgraded as a Degree college. The college, affiliated to the University of Mysore. Its oval shaped emblem has Goddess Saraswathi ensconced in a border on which ‘SARDA VILAS COLLEGE’ and ‘Education Kindles Knowledge’ are written in red colour. It has a pair of lamps as separators.

CORPS OF ENGINEERS The Corps of Engineers is one of the oldest arms of the Indian Army and consists of three Presidency Army (Madras, Bengal, Bombay) Sapper Groups. The origin of the Corps dates back to 1780 when the two regular pioneer companies of the Madras Sappers were raised. Subsequently, the Group of Madras, Bengal and Bombay Sappers were formed and later merged on 18 November 1932 to form the Corps of Engineers in its present form. The Regimental Centre for the Madras Engineer Group is Bangalore, Karnataka. The Regimental Centre for the Bengal Engineer Group is Roorkee, Uttar Pradesh. The Regimental Centre for the Bombay Engineer Group is Kirkee, Maharashtra. Personnel of this Corps are called Sappers, though the units are known as Engineers. COLLEGE OF DEFENCE MANAGEMENT College of Defence Management (CDM)  is a premier tri-service institution imparting management training to officers of the Defence Services. The CDM is entrusted with the responsibility of instilling contemporary management thoughts, concepts and practices in the senior leadership of the three Services. The need to set up a college specializing in imparting scientific management training was felt sometime after the Indo-Pak war of 1965. The complexities of modern combat, the high lethality and velocity of battle, large size of the Indian Armed Forces, their deployment in far flung areas, high cost of equipment, limited resources, socio-economic changes; all necessitated military commanders to be exposed to modern management concepts and techniques to enable them to operate in an effective and optimal manner. ARMED FORCES MEDICAL COLLEGE Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC)  is a premier medical institute of India acknowledged as a centre of excellence for education and research. The college provides training to under-graduate and post-graduate medical and nursing students with assured career prospects in the defence services. The institute was set up on 01 May 1948 by an act of parliament of India on the recommendations of the BC Roy Committee by the amalgamation of various defence medical organizations.
