NATIONAL ACCREDITATION AND ASSESSMENT COUNCIL The emblem of the National Accreditation and Assessment Council (NAAC) has a red circle housing the motifs of a map of Bharat the India holding a black mortarboard hat on which ‘Q’ for quality is written. Its acronym ‘NAAC’ and a dot of where it is located. These are ensconced by a white circular border with a red outline, which bears its name. At the bottom, on a white banner its motto ‘Excellence Credibility Relevance’ is written in black. The mortarboard or Oxford hat refers to the educational institutions the NAAC assess for quality; the map of India about geographical scope and the colour red symbolises passion, power, strength, courage, determination, energy and celebration.

KERALA MARITIME BOARD The emblem of Kerala Maritime Board (KMB) has a red helm or sailor’s wheel ensconced by a sailor’s rope in blue colour housing a brown circle which bears its name in English and Malayalam. Inside the circle are the motifs of a ship, a map of the State of Kerala, an anchor and its acronym KMB. The whole pictorial sails on waves of water. The emblem is interesting, attractive and detailed.
