NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY HAMIRPUR National Institute of Technology Hamirpur (NITH) is one of the thirty-one NITs of the country, which came into existence on August 7, 1986 as Regional Engineering College (REC), a joint and cooperative enterprise of the Government of India and Government of Himachal Pradesh. The status of Deemed University and upgraded to National Institute of Technology. Its circular emblem has a gear wheel in it. This holds a map of Himachal Pradesh with images of Himalayas forming the backdrop, with electrical transmission lines and a manufacturing plant at the foothill and a lake in the foreground. In the border its name, place and motto is written. Its motto in Sanskrit ‘उद्यमेन हि सिद्धयान्ति कार्याणि न मनोरथैः’ meaning ‘No Substitute for Hard Work’

NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY PATNA National Institute of Technology Patna (NITP) is the eighteenth National Institute of Technology created by the Ministry of H.R.D. Government of India after rechristening the erstwhile Bihar College of Engineering Patna on January 28, 2004. NIT Patna approached (Industrial Design Centre, IITB) IDC to redesign their Visual Identity. The metamorphosis from Bihar college of engineering to National Institute of Technology Patna triggered the idea for a new identity. NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY KURUKSHETRA National Institute of Technology Kurukshetra, NIT Kurukshetra was founded in 1963 as Regional Engineering College Kurukshetra. It was rechristened as National Institute of Technology Kurukshetra on June 26, 2002. Its emblem is a gearwheel, in whose border the name of the institute and the place is written. In a circle within the gear a bow and an upward pointing arrow is placed. The bow radiates energy. There is a downward pointing arrow in the name of the place emphazising the importance of the place and the grounding. ON a banner placed below its motto ‘श्रमोनवरत चेष्टा च ’ meaning ‘Hard Work and Consistent Efforts’

NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY ANDHRA PRADESH

NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY ANDHRA PRADESH National Institute of Technology, Andhra Pradesh (NIT AP) is the thirty-first institution among the chain of NITs started by the Government of India. NIT Andhra Pradesh was established in the state of Andhra Pradesh recently in the academic year 2015-2016. Its circular emblem has a ‘Poorna Kumbham’ or ‘Kalasha’ which means ‘full or complete vessel’ when the pot is referred to as the Kalasha. The Purna-Kalasha is considered a symbol of abundance and "source of life" in the Vedas. Purna-Kumbha is a Vedic motif, known from the time of Rigveda. It is held above the lotus, which is supported by a book and a pair of laurels of cereal on both the sides. These are ensconced in a circle, which is closed by a circular gear wheel, on which the name of the institute in Hindi and English and its tagline ‘श्रमेव जयते’ meaning ‘Hard Work Triumphs’ are written.

NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY WARANGAL

NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY, WARANGAL National Institute of Technology Warangal (Deemed University), formerly known as Regional Engineering College, was established in 1959. Its emblem is in the form of a shield and a number of representative elements have been placed inside this. The main motif is ‘Kakatiya Thoranam’ the impressive archway of Kakatiya kingdom, which is crested by a gear wheel, stroke of lightning and a tripod. Below the motif is the motto in Sanskrit ‘कर्मणंव हि संसिद्धीहि’ meaning ‘One who Works will Succeed’. The name of the institution is written around these elements and at the bottom the name of place is written.

NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY KARNATAKA, SURATHKAL National Institute of Technology Karnataka, Surathkal (NITK) Surathkal is located in Mangalore City, Karnataka State, India. The Institute was established as Karnataka Regional Engineering College (KREC) in 1960 and upgraded as National Institute of Technology Karnataka (NITK) in 2002. The emblem of NITK is a shield gear wheel having its acronym of name and a banner with its tagline 'तत्पूजा कर्मचारिवलम्' meaning ‘Work is Worship’ in English, Hindi and Kannada. Below these, an aeroplane, a ship, a power cable tower and river bridge. The border of the shield bears the name of the institution and its place.

TAMILNADU AGRICULTURAL UNIVERSITY

TAMILNADU AGRICULTURAL UNIVERSITY The Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) had its genesis from establishment of an Agricultural School at Saidapet, Madras, Tamil Nadu, as early as 1868 and it was later relocated at Coimbatore. In 1920 it was affiliated to Madras University. TNAU assumed full responsibilities of Agricultural Education and Research and supported the State Agricultural Department by delivering research products. Till 1946, the Agricultural College and Research Institute, Coimbatore, was the only Institute for Agricultural Education for the whole of South India. Tamil Nadu Agricultural University was established in 1971. Its circular emblem has a gopuram supported by an orange lotus in a green background. INDIAN INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY MADRAS The Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IITM) is known both nationally and internationally for excellence in technical education, basic and applied research, innovation, entrepreneurship and industrial consultancy. In 1956, the German Government offered technical assistance for establishing an institute of higher education in engineering in India. The first Indo-German agreement in Bonn, West Germany for the establishment of the Indian Institute of Technology at Madras was signed in 1959. The first Indo-German Agreement provided for the services of German professors and five foremen, training facilities for 20 Indian faculty members and the supply of scientific and technical equipment for the establishment of the Central Workshop and 20 laboratories at IIT Madras.
