NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF MENTAL HEALTH AND NEURO SCIENCES The dark hued circular emblem of National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences (NIMHANS) has a swan swimming in a waterbody with lotus in a night with a full moon. The swan though looks calm and gentle outwardly is agitating vigorously inside the water symbolising the human mind and body. The lotus represents the pure growing out of  impurity. This circular motif is circumscribed by a white border on which its name and its motto are inscribed. The motto reads in Sanskrit ‘समत्वं योग उच्यते’ (Shloka 48, Chapter 2, Srimad Bhagavad Gita) meaning ‘Evenness (of mind) is the Yoga’. 

JAWAHARLAL NEHRU PORT AUTHORITY

JAWAHARLAL NEHRU PORT AUTHORITY The emblem of Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority (JNPA) is in the form of a globe. The shades of blue in the JNPA logo are inspired by the water bodies. The wavy strokes and lines refer to JNPA as the port that offers flexibility and ease in operations. The designs are in the shape of a globe which refers to the port’s service to international trade. The rotating arrows around it suggest trade mobilisation in imports and exports. The steer at the top signifies JNPA’s vision to be at the apex of trade in India and the white strokes at the horizon represent its International footprint. The waves at the bottom symbolise modern container handling port, facilitator of international trade and being highly efficient and productive.

DEENDAYAL PORT AUTHORITY The blue and green circular emblem of Deendayal Port Authority (DPA) has a pair of sailboats on water placed inside a blue circle. The left half circumference of the circle is decorated with blue and light blue diamonds with a green diamond as crest, support and on the left side. The green diamonds represent the directions; the blue diamonds represent the ships in the port and circular outlines depict the port with ships. The colour blue denotes water and the colour green denotes eco-friendliness.

KERALA MARITIME BOARD The emblem of Kerala Maritime Board (KMB) has a red helm or sailor’s wheel ensconced by a sailor’s rope in blue colour housing a brown circle which bears its name in English and Malayalam. Inside the circle are the motifs of a ship, a map of the State of Kerala, an anchor and its acronym KMB. The whole pictorial sails on waves of water. The emblem is interesting, attractive and detailed.

ASSAM TOURISM DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION LTD The insignia Assam Tourism Development Corporation Ltd (ASTDC) has a rhinoceros standing in front of a big sun along with a bud of tea leaves above flowing waters. The rhinoceros and tea leaves represent the animal inhabitants and the famous produce of the State. This eastern State is famous for its sun rises and the mighty river of Brahmaputra and its tributaries which form parts of the pictorial. Its tagline ‘Awesome Assam’ is written in handwritten script style below the motifs. Its name ‘Assam Tourism’ is written at the bottom. The logo is informative and attractive.

CHANDIGARH TOURISM The green and blue emblem of Chandigarh Tourism has a green square plot of land supporting a waterbody, trees and a bush and the Union Territory’s official emblem of hand motif. At the bottom its name is written in blue. The logo communicates that the place is exceptionally green with vegetation and is an environmentally interesting and vacationable one. The logo is attractive and interesting.

DAMAN DIU AND DADRA NAGAR HAVELI TOURISM The light blue emblem of Daman Diu and Dadra Nagar Haveli Tourism (DDDNHP) is a panel with a border made up by the motifs of the traditional mask, a pair of local flowers, vegetables, fish, deer, snails, swans, anchors lions and cannons and flowing waters and a church. The panel holds the name of the tourism establishment and at the bottom its tagline ‘Small is Big’ is written. The motifs which form the shape and border represent what is available in the State’s geography and a tourist attraction. The emblem is innovative, representative and attractive. The colour light blue represents the blue waters and tranquillity, peace, health, healing, acceptance, truth, serenity, trustworthiness, reliability, wisdom, creativity, spirituality and softness.

MUKKA PROTEINS LIMITED

MUKKA PROTEINS LIMITED The emblem of Mukka Proteins Limited (MPL) has a cyan and grey square standing on its corner, with its top half in grey has the sails of the boat and bottom half has flowing blue waters with fish and a pair of sailboats. The acronym of its name is written on the pictorial in red. This pictorial is adapted from its parent company, which is in the business of producing fish meal. Its name is written on the right in red extra bold serif capital and lowercase and black sans serif capitals, with cyan colour underline. The colour cyan denotes sky, hope and spring, peace, tranquillity, calmness, relaxation and emotional balance and the colour red denotes passion, power, strength, courage, determination, energy and celebration.

IREL LIMITED The emblem of IREL Limited is bright green coloured pentagon shaped pictorial in which a palm of hand holding the layers of flowing water, rare earth minerals and green cover. Its name is written on the palm in Devanagari and English. The palm refers to protection, caring and nurturing; bright green colour denotes life, fertility, renewal and resurrection and the pentagon represents perfection, power, human microcosm, balance, harmony, unity and interconnectedness.
