DR. A.P.J. ABDUL KALAM TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY The circular seal of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) in the form of a brown gear wheel houses the motifs of glowing flame of a traditional lamp supported on side by a pair of fish and surmounted by its motto in Sanskrit ‘योगः कर्मसु कौशलम्’ (Verse 50, Chapter 2, Bhagavad Gita) meaning ‘Yoga is Skill in Action’ on a blue circle. This is circumscribed by a green border which carries the name of the university. The wheel of gear denotes interconnectedness, efficiency, precision, progress, advancement, synchronisation, timing, order and structure; the traditional lamp symbolises light, illumination, awakening, devotion, purity, guidance, protection, hope and prosperity and the pair of fish denoting the State of Uttar Pradesh.

KAUSHALYA - THE SKILL UNIVERSITY Kaushalya – The Skill University (KTSU) has been established vide an Act of Gujarat Assembly in October, 2021 with the objective of ‘Education with Skill’ and aims at making youth ‘Skill Smart’. The university is established by a legislation of Government of Gujarat in October 2021, as a one of its kind affiliating State University. It offers skill oriented courses through the schools of computing, science, manufacturing and infrastructure, liberal arts, services, management and finance and drone for certificate, diploma, undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. RABINDRANATH TAGORE UNIVERSITY India’s first skill based private university, Rabindranath Tagore University (RNTU) strives to impart skill based education and promote research driven advancement of knowledge for creating successful professionals. Established by the Rabindranath Tagore Group in 2010, it has carved a niche for itself in Madhya Pradesh and Jharkhand. MALAVIYA NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY JAIPUR The Institute was jointly established in 1963 as Malaviya Regional Engineering College Jaipur by the Government of India and the Government of Rajasthan. Subsequently, on June 26, 2002, the college was given the status of National Institute of Technology. On August 15, 2007. The emblem of MNIT has a lamp with four burning wicks placed over a grid is supported by its tagline ‘योगः कर्मसु कौसलम्’ in Sanskrit meaning ‘Yoga is Skill in Actions’. These are ensconced by a gear wheel. This is surrounded by a yellow border on which the name is written in Hindi and English.

VISVESVARAYA NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY,  NAGPUR Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology (VNIT), Nagpur is one of the thirty National Institutes of Technology in the country. The Government of India conferred on the Institute, the Deemed to be University status (under University Grants Commission Act, 1956 (3 of 1956)) from June 26, 2002. Earlier, the Institute was known as Visvesvaraya Regional College of Engineering (VRCE) which was established in the year 1960. Its circular emblem is divided into four quarters, with a torch held by a hand in the middle. The first quadrant has a pair of meshing gears, the second has a book, the third has a bridge on a river and the fourth has an electricity transmission tower. PRADHAN MANTRI KAUSHAL VIKAS YOJNA Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) is the flagship scheme of the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MSDE) of Government of India and implemented by National Skill Development Corporation. The objective of this Skill Certification Scheme is to enable a large number of Indian youths to take up industry-relevant skill training that will help them in securing a better livelihood. Individuals with prior learning experience or skills will also be assessed and certified under Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL). SKILL INDIA Initiated with an objective to train more than 40 crore people in India in different skills by 2022, Skill India campaign was launched on 15th July 2015. This comprehensive campaign encompasses various government initiatives such as the National Skill Development Mission, National Policy for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, 2015, Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) and Skill Loan Scheme. The Skill India logo depicts a clenched hand, in which a spanner and pencil are firmly held. This depicts the empowerment through skills.
