CENTRAL SOIL SALINITY RESEARCH INSTITUTE The circular emblem of ICAR-Central Soil Salinity Research Institute (CSSRI) has a circle holding the motifs of saline soil with water and a separating layer of soil has the vegetation of paddy and wheat. This pictorial depicts the domain, scope and research activities of the Institute. This circle is surmounted by its name in Devanagari and supported by a portion of a gear wheel, which represent its engineering and scientific research.

BHAGWANT UNIVERSITY Bhagwant University Ajmer is established by Bhagwant Education Foundation which has also established Bhagwant Global University Kotdwar. This is the only university in Rajasthan which offers engineering courses in aeronautics, petroleum, nanotechnology and agriculturre. ODISHA UNIVERSITY OF AGRICULTURE AND TECHNOLOGY In 1961, the Legislature of the State of Orissa enacted the Orissa University of Agriculture and Technology Act, 20 of 1961 with the object of establishing and incorporating a University of Agriculture and Technology. The university was inaugurated by Prof. John K. Galbraith on August 24, 1962 and began its functioning from February 1, 1963, when the Utkal Krushi Mahavidyalaya and the Orissa College of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry with their staff were transferred to the university. The emblem of the university has motifs of a bullock with a plough on flowing water supported by a tractor and a power tiller placed on a green circle. BANDA UNIVERSITY OF AGRICULTURE AND TECHNOLOGY Banda University of Agriculture and Technology (BUAT), Banda has been established as a State University in the Bundelkhand Region on March 2, 2010 under the Uttar Pradesh Agriculture University Act (Sanshodhan) 1958 Gazette-Adhiniyam 2010. The emblem of the university has a yellow sun supporting a stylised green and orange image of a wheat plant forming into a red colour human motif. The sun is circumscribed by a cyan gear. BIHAR AGRICULTURAL UNIVERSITY Bihar Agricultural University (BAU), Sabour was established August 5, 2010 is a basic and strategic institution supporting more than five hundred researchers and educationists towards imparting education at graduate and postgraduate levels. The emblem of the university has the motifs of a helical structure of DNA, a satellite antenna, an open book and a cow supported by a pair of laurels of wheat heads and ensconced by a gear wheel. These are surrounded by a circular border on which the name and place of the university is inscribed in English and Devanagari. The cow and antenna represent agriculture and information technology; the open book denotes education, knowledge and wisdom, the laurels denote food, prosperity, success and hard work and the gear wheel denotes interconnectedness; efficiency and precision; progress and advancement; synchronisation and timing and order and structure.

BHUPENDRA NARAYAN MANDAL UNIVERSITY Bhupendra Narayan Mandal University (BNMU) also called B. N. Mandal University was established on January 10, 1992 and is named after Bhupendra Narayan Mandal, who was a freedom fighter. The red circular emblem of the university has a circle housing the motifs of a banyan tree, an open book, a wheat plant with heads and a pair of swans in its four quadrants. These are ensconced in a border with red outlines. The border is inscribed with its motto in Sanskrit ‘सा विद्या या विमुक्तये’ (Rishi Parāśara, Viṣṇu Purāṇa ) meaning ‘Knowledge is One that Liberates’ and its name in Devanagari. The banyan tree symbolises strength, individuality and expression, calmness, growth and the interconnectedness of everything; the open book symbolises knowledge, wisdom and education; the wheat plant denotes fertility, abundance, growth, renewal and resurrection and a pair of swans denote good omen of a long-lasting and happy relationship.

BHATTADEV UNIVERSITY Bhattadev University, Bajali, was established on June 24, 2019. The university was upgraded from the erstwhile Bajali College which was started in 1955 by the university was established by Bhattadev University Act, 2017. It is named after an illustrious son of Assam Baikunthanath Bhagavat Bhattacharya popularly known as Bhattadev, who is acknowledged as the father of Assamese prose. Bhattadev’s erudition in Sanskrit grammar and literature and his command over the Shrimadbhagavata Purana earned him the title of Bhagavat Bhattacharya. PUNJAB AGRICULTURAL UNIVERSITY Punjab Agricultural University was established in 1962 to serve the state of erstwhile Punjab on July 8, 1963. Haryana Agricultural University was carved out of this university in February 1970 and HP Krishi Vishvavidalya established at Palampur campus in July 1970 by Acts of Parliament. Its emblem has a head of wheat plant with kernels in orange colour placed above flowing rivers and supported by an open book and a plough on a green shield. The shield is crested by a rising sun and a blue banner bearing its motto ‘Learn and Serve’ is placed above the shield at the bottom. PRATHAMA UP GRAMIN BANK Prathama U.P. Gramin Bank (PUPGB), sponsored by Punjab National Bank, came into existence by amalgamation of two RRBs namely Sarva UP Gramin bank Meerut, Prathama Gramin Bank Moradabad on February 22, 2019. The bank has its head office in Moradabad. The emblem of the bank has a motif of three leaf like designs in yellow inscribed with ‘P’, ‘UP’ and ‘B’ - the bank's acronym on the leaves. ALL INDIA INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES RAEBARELI All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) at Raebareli in Uttar Pradesh was approved in February 2009 under Pradhan Mantri Sawasthya Suraksha Yojana (PMSSY). EMBLEM OF JAMMU AND KASHMIR The Jammu and Kashmir  state comprises three distinct well marked regions namely the Province of Jammu, the Valley of Kashmir and the frontier region of Gilgit, Baltistan and Ladakh. The State is bounded by Tadzhikistan, China, Afghanistan and Pakistan. The emblem consists of arms azure in colour, three barrulets argent for the three districts of the state, a chief wavy argent, a lotus flower issuant proper and two traditional ploughs per border, handles in chief with garland, ears of wheat and name 'Jammu & Kashmir' in white lettering on a red ribbon. This emblem was adopted when Jammu & Kashmir became a republic on  November 17, 1952. The Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation Act, 2019, reconstituted the former state of Jammu and Kashmir into two union territories, one being Jammu and Kashmir and the other being Ladakh, with effect from October 31, 2019. Subsequent to reorganisation this emblem may undergo revision.

EMBLEM OF HARYANA The state of Haryana was split from Punjab state on November 1,1966. The main part of the actual state was ceded to the East India Company in 1803. In 1832 it was added to the Northwest Provinces and in 1858 to Punjab to which it belonged until 1966. In the centre of the state the Principality of Jind was located. The emblem of Haryana shows a sun and a lotus-flower rising from a lake. The title of the emblem is 'Government of Haryana'. It is surrounded by a garland of ears of wheat and has the national symbol with motto of the Indian Republic as a crest.
