TRIPURA TOURISM The emblem of Tripura Tourism (TT) has multiple motifs representing the State of Tripura forming a shape of the map of Tripura. This is supported by its name written at the right bottom with ‘Tripura ‘ written in sans serif bold with multiple colours denoting the varied and extensive culture and traditions of the State. The motifs in the map include rivers, mountains, forests, mask for dance, temple facade, pineapple, rising sun, sugarcane, local woman, splashing of colours and a monkey. The emblem is attractive and communicates the places of interests effortlessly and it is dynamic.

U.P. RAJARSHI TANDON OPEN UNIVERSITY The U.P. Rajarshi Tandon Open University (UPRTOU), Allahabad, was established on March 24, 1999. It is named after Bharat Ratna Rajarshi Purusottam Das Tandon ji, an illustrious son of Mother India. Its circular logo in yellow and red has motifs of shining sun in red colour and two joyous humans holding hands and books are supported by rivers flowing from left and right. These are ensconced in a yellow border on which the name of the university and its place are written. This is placed on a red colour pedestal on which its motto in Sanskrit ‘सरस्वती नः सुभगा मयस्करतुः’ meaning ‘May Saraswati Bless us with Good Fortune’ is inscribed. EMBLEM OF UTTARAKHAND Uttarakhand is formerly known as Uttaranchal and is a State in the northern part of India. It is referred to as the Land of Gods since Hinduism’s many holy temples and cities found here. Known for its natural beauty and wealth of the Himalayas, the Bhabhar and the Terai, the State was carved out of the Himalayan and adjoining north-western districts of Uttar Pradesh on November 9, 2000, becoming the twenty seventh state of the Republic of India. It borders the Tibet Autonomous Region on the north, Nepal on the east and the Indian states of Uttar Pradesh to the south and Himachal Pradesh to the north west. In January 2007, the name of the state was officially changed from Uttaranchal to Uttarakhand. The provisional capital of Uttarakhand is Dehradun. The emblem of Uttarakhand shows a mountain ridge with a valley in base. In chief is the emblem of India and the blue wavy lines depicts its rivers. Below is the title of the country which was changed accordingly
