MUNICIPAL CORPORATION OF CHANDIGARH The blue colour circular emblem of Municipal Corporation of Chandigarh (MCC) has a rose supported by the ‘Open Hand’ which is a giant metallic sculpture of the Capital Complex of Chandigarh, with a backdrop of ‘M’. These are ensconced in a circular border which carries the name of the institution. The colour blue symbolises serenity, calmness, trust, spirituality, calmness, wisdom, freedom, openness, intelligence and loyalty.

JAWAHARLAL NEHRU ARCHITECTURE AND FINE ARTS UNIVERSITY The emblem of Jawaharlal Nehru Architecture and Fine Arts University (JNAFAU) has a pink rose with a pair of pink leaves ensconced by a gear wheel. These are circumscribed by a border on which the name and palace of the university is inscribed. At the bottom its motto in Sanskrit ‘योगः कर्मसु कौशलम्’ (Verse 50, Chapter 2, Bhagavad Gita) meaning ‘Yoga is Skill in Action’ is written. Below that its acronym ‘JNAFAU’ is written. The rose is symbolic of Jawaharlal Nehru, who wore a rose on his coat and the gear wheel symbolises interconnectedness, efficiency, precision, progress and advancement, synchronisation, timing, order, structure, engineering and technology.

JAWAHARLAL NEHRU TECHNOLOGICAL UNIVERSITY HYDERABAD Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad (JNTUH), was established on October 2, 1972 by the Legislature of the State of Andhra Pradesh as the first technological university in the country. It was restructured into four different universities by the Government vide Ordinance No.13, dated August 18, 2008 and Act of State Legislature No.30 dated September 2008 and this new university has been designated as Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad (JNTUH). The violet emblem of the university has a pink rose with a pair of pink leaves ensconced by a gear wheel. These are circumscribed by a border on which the name and palace of the university is inscribed. JAWAHARLAL NEHRU TECHNOLOGICAL UNIVERSITY, GURAJADA Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University College of Engineering, Vizianagaram was established in the year 2007 as a constituent college of JNTU, Hyderabad. JNTU, Hyderabad was trifurcated into three universities by the Andhra Pradesh Act No. 30 of 2008 and since Augustt 24, 2008, the college has become the constituent college of JNTU, Kakinada. Through University Act No. 22 of 2021, JNTU, Kakinada is bifurcated and Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Gurajada, Vizianagaram came into existence as a separate university vide Government Order Ms. No. 3 dated January 1, 2022. JAWAHARLAL NEHRU TECHNOLOGICAL UNIVERSITY, KAKINADA Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kakinada (JNTUK) was established in the year 2008 vide Act No. 30 of 2008 by the State of Andhra Pradesh. The university started as College of Engineering Visakhapatnam founded by the Government of the composite Madras State in 1946. The college became a constituent of JNTU, Hyderabad in 1972. Consequent to the trifurcation of the JNTU, Hyderabad, it was notified as JNTUK Kakinada by the Act of legislature in 2008. JAWAHARLAL NEHRU TECHNOLOGICAL UNIVERSITY, ANANTAPUR The College of Engineering, Anantapur was started at Guindy, Madras in 1946 and shifted to Anantapur in 1948. The college was affiliated to Madras University during 1946-1955 and to Sri Venkateswara University during 1955-1972. In 1972, by an Act of State Legislature, Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University was established at Hyderabad and the College of Engineering, Anantapur went into the fold of JNTU. In 2008, by an Act of AP State Legislature, JNTU was trifurcated into three independent universities viz., JNTU,Hyderabad, JNTU, Kakinada and JNTU Anantapur. SRI KONDA LAXMAN TELANGANA STATE HORTICULTURAL UNIVERSITY Sri Konda Laxman Telangana State Horticultural University (SKLTSHU) was established on December 23, 2014. The university runs on the land grant pattern of the USA, with a mandate on Education, Research and Extension of horticulture domain.The green and pink circular logo with a pink banner has a the map of the State of Telangana in the centre surrounded by fruits, vegetables, herbs, flowers, DNA structure, a microscope, an open book and a rising sun. These are ensconced in a pink gear wheel which bears the name of the university in Telugu along with the year of establishment and a green border with its name. At the bottom on a pink banner supported by a pair of rose sticks the acronym of its name is written. INDIAN INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY DELHI Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IITD) is one of the 23 IITs created to be Centres of Excellence for training, research and development in science, engineering and technology in India. Established as College of Engineering in 1961, the Institute was later declared as an Institution of National Importance under the ‘Institutes of Technology (Amendment) Act, 1963’ and was renamed as ‘Indian Institute of Technology Delhi’. It was then accorded the status of a Deemed University with powers to decide its own academic policy, to conduct its own examinations, and to award its own degrees. PES UNIVERSITY PES University, located in Bangalore is one of the country’s leading teaching and research universities. Founded in 1972, PES is now amongst India’s premier teaching and research universities. Its current logo has a compass rose, also called a wind rose, rose of the winds or compass star in blue colour placed in an orange circle. It is surrounded by a thick blue circle with a niche at the north point, symbolising the northern point or the pole of the compass lets the students break the boundaries into the new world.
