SRI VENKATESWARA VETERINARY UNIVERSITY Sri Venkateswara Veterinary University (SVVU), Tirupati was established vide Act No.18, 2005 of Government of Andhra Pradesh with a mandate to strengthen education, research and extension activities in veterinary, dairy and fishery sciences. The then Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh inaugurated the university in the premises of College of Veterinary Science, Tirupati. The university has faculties of veterinary science, dairy science and fishery science and started functioning from July 15, 2005 at ANGRAU campus and with Tirupati as headquarters from April 1, 2006 ( SVVU ). The predominantly blue colour circular emblem has a blue circular border which bears the name of the university in Telugu and English.
