JIO PAYMENTS BANK LTD. Reliance Industries Limited was granted an in-principle approval by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) to establish a new Payments Bank under the Banking Regulation Act, 1949. It then partnered with the State Bank of India to support this ambitious initiative of building payments bank capabilities for every Indian and accordingly, Jio Payments Bank Limited, was incorporated in November 2016. Its blue logo has a circular emblem and a wordmark of its name. The emblem has a shield in a blue circle in which ‘₹’ symbol is placed. Alongside, its name is written in classic sans serif font.

PRADHAN MANTRI JAN DHAN YOJANA Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY) is a financial inclusion programme of the Government of India applicable for the age group from 10 to 65 years, aiming to expand and make affordable access to financial services such as bank accounts, remittances, credit, insurance and pensions. PMJDY provides a platform for universal access to banking facilities with at least one basic banking account for every household, financial literacy and access to credit, insurance and pension facilities. Those who open an account would get indigenous debit card (RuPay card). Account can be opened in any bank branch or Business Correspondent (Bank Mitr) outlet at zero balance. The designer of PMJDY logo Ms. Priya Sharma was awarded by Prime Minister of India on August 28, 2014. The logo depicts people like structures joining hands around the Rupee symbol i.e., ‘₹’. The logo has been effectively designed keeping in view the tricolour of the Indian flag.

INDIAN RUPEE The Indian currency is called the Indian Rupee (INR). One Rupee consists of 100 Paise. The symbol of the Indian Rupee is ₹. The design resembles both the Devanagari letter ‘₹’ (ra) and the Latin capital letter ‘R’, with a double horizontal line at the top.The Indian rupee sign is the currency symbol for the Indian rupee (ISO 4217 INR), the official currency of India . Designed by D. Udaya Kumar, it was presented to the public by the Government of India on July 15, 2010, following its selection through an open competition among Indian residents. The Unicode code point for the Indian rupee sign is U+20B9 '₹' Indian Rupee sign.
