INSTITUTE OF INFRASTRUCTURE TECHNOLOGY RESEARCH AND MANAGEMENT The circular greenish blue and light green emblem of Institute of Infrastructure Technology Research and Management (IITRAM) has a circle with the motifs of satellite communication, a large dam of water and an electrical distribution tower. These are ensconced by a circular border on which its name and place are inscribed. The circumference of the border is decorated with motifs of a number of human beings holding their hands together. The motifs symbolise the branches of engineering and science the university offers; the humans holding hands denote unity is strength. The colours are sober and friendly and attractive for its simplicity.

MADAN MOHAN MALAVIYA UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY

MADAN MOHAN MALAVIYA UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY The circular insignia of Madan Mohan Malaviya University of Technology (MMMUT) has a blue gear wheel housing the motifs of a electrical transmission lines and tower, a dam on river, a monogram created using its acronym ‘MMMUT’, a nib of a pen on red rising sun, a pair of laurels supporting the monogram and its motto in Sanskrit ‘योगः कर्मसु कौशलम्’ (Verse 50, Chapter 2, Bhagavad Gita) meaning ‘Yoga is Skill in Action’. The gear wheel is ensconced by a white border with red and blue outlines which carries its name in Devanagari and English. The electric lines and tower and dam denotes the fields of engineering; the rising sun denotes life, energy, power, positivity, illumination, light and clarity; the nib of a pen symbolises freedom, intelligence, creativity, professionalism, determination and diligence and the laurels denote ceremonies, victory, achievement, hard work and dedication.  

MAHATMA GANDHI UNIVERSITY

MAHATMA GANDHI UNIVERSITY The emblem of Mahatma Gandhi University (MGU), Yellareddyugudem, Nalgonda features the Nagarjuna Sagar Dam ensconced by a gear wheel. This is circumscribed by a cyan circular border with traditional designs. The name of the university is written around the border in Telugu, Devanagari and Urdu. Another blue and orange border circle bears the name of the university in English. These are surmounted by Ashoka Chakra and supported by a pair of peacocks. Below the circular motif a white banner carries its motto in Telugu ‘సా విద్యా యా విముక్తయే’ (Rishi Parāśara, 1,19.41, Viṣṇu Purāṇa) meaning ‘Knowledge  is one that Liberates’. The banner is supported by a pair of corns. Above the banner and at the bottom of the circular seal a Poorna Kumbha is placed. The dam symbolises the native pride and geography; the gear wheel symbolises interconnectedness, efficiency, precision, progress, advancement, synchronisation, timing, order and structure; the Ashoka Chakra is

ARULMIGU KALASALINGAM POLYTECHNIC COLLEGE

ARULMIGU KALASALINGAM POLYTECHNIC COLLEGE Arulmigu Kalasalingam Polytechnic College (AKPC), a self-financing Institution, was established in the year 1983 by the philanthropist, Sri. T. Kalasalingam. The emblem of the college has a sun like gear wheel treated like a glowing sun bears on it the name of the college and inside this on a yellow circle motifs of a pair of meshing gear wheels, a computer, an irrigation water dam and a electrical transmission tower. At the bottom its motto in Tamil ‘அறிவு அற்றம் காக்கும் கருவி’ meaning ‘True Wisdom Wards off Woes’ taken from Thirukkural is written on a white banner. Gear wheel interconnectedness; efficiency and precision; progress and advancement; synchronisation and timing and order and structure.

TELANGANA UNIVERSITY

TELANGANA UNIVERSITY Telangana University was established through Act Number 28 of the State Government in the year 2006 with an objective to make higher education accessible to the educationally backward District of Nizamabad in Telangana. The emblem of the university is in the form of a shield with a broad white border bearing its name in English and Urdu; its motto in Telugu along with poorna kumbha supported by a pair of swans holding lotuses. Inside the border, the images of classrooms and a computer; a batch of graduating students; paddy fields and a big water dam are provided as the representation of Telegana’s geography. Atop the shield its name in Telugu is written. Purna Kumbha signifying a sense of fulfilment, a totality of being that follows true education; swans are sacred and are symbols of grace and beauty; lotuses denote purity, enlightenment, rebirth, transformation, personal growth, resilience, overcoming obstacles and divine beauty.
