MANGALORE UNIVERSITY The emblem of Mangalore University (MU) depicts its geography, history and tradition through a number of motifs. In the centre of a circle the motifs of rising sun above mountains and waterbody and trees are  placed representing the geography of the locale. It is ensconced by a yellow circular border on which its name is inscribed in Kannada and English. The circular seal is crested by a colourful headgear or ‘kirita’ of the famous folk dance form ‘Yakshagana’ and supported on either side by coffee plant branches with leaves and fruits for which the city and the State of Karnataka are famous for. At the bottom of the insignia, on a blue banner the motto of the university in Kannada ‘ಜ್ಞಾನವೇ-ಬೆಳಕು’ meaning ‘Knowledge is Light’ is inscribed.

MALWANCHAL UNIVERSITY The emblem of Malwanchal University (MU) has a blue circle holding a gold and brown shield housing the motifs of sun, globe, a pair of lions and a pair of leaves along with its name. The shield is supported by a pair of laurels on sides and by a red banner at the bottom carrying its motto ‘Committed to Excellence’, within a gold circular line. The blue circle is ensconced by a golden ornamental border. MANDSAUR UNIVERSITY The orange insignia of Mandsaur University (MU) has a shield with orange outline housing the letter ‘M’ depicted as an entrance with three pillars, above which a vessel of burning fire is placed. The shield denotes safety, protection, readiness to overcome difficulties, power, valiance and cooperation; the three pillars are the bridge to heaven from earth and pillar means strength, security of foundation and trustworthiness; the vessel of fire denotes cleansing and sanctification and the colour orange symbolises energy, vitality, creativity, inspiration, joy and happiness.

MARWADI UNIVERSITY The emblem of  Marwadi University (MU) is a cyan colour shield with thick grey outline housing the monogram of its acronym ‘MU’. The shield symbolises protection, courage, heritage, authority and bravery; the colour cyan denotes sky, hope and spring, peace, tranquillity, calmness, relaxation, emotional balance and the colour grey represents strength, longevity, unemotional, detached, balanced and impartial, power, influence, wisdom and intelligence.

MONARK UNIVERSITY The orange and blue emblem Monark University (MU) has a monogram of ‘MU’ crested with a crown made from the nib of a pen. In the counter three parallel lines of Tripundra representing Prana - the life force is placed. These are supported by a blue colour circular arc. Below these its name is written in sans serif bold capitals. The nib of a pen symbolises freedom, intelligence, creativity, professionalism, determination and diligence; the tiara or crown denotes symbolises power and status; the colour blue denotes serenity, calmness, trust, spirituality, calmness, wisdom, freedom, openness, intelligence and loyalty and the colour orange denotes energy, vitality, creativity, inspiration, joy and happiness.

MANGALAYATAN UNIVERSITY The insignia of Mangalayatan University (MU) has a monogram of ‘MU’ depicted as a flame of fire in the tones of yellow and orange supported by a blue colour swoosh resembles a traditional lamp; a base for the lamp on which its name is inscribed in Devanagari and its motto in Sanskrit ‘विश्वं ज्ञाने प्रतिष्टितम्’ meaning ‘World is Established by Knowledge’ placed below. The flame symbolises enlightenment, hope, life, truth and the regenerative power; the traditional lamp symbolises light, illumination, awakening, devotion, purity, guidance, protection, hope and prosperity ; the colour orange symbolises energy, vitality, creativity, inspiration, joy and happiness and the colour yellow symbolises happiness, energy, vitality, focus and creativity.

MADHAV UNIVERSITY The emblem of Madhav University (MU) is a monogram has a monogram of its acronym in black and white on an orange background and supported by its name written on a black band in white using sans serif bold condensed typeface. The letter ‘U’ is treated as ‘gopi chandan tilak’ as applied by the devotees of Lord Krishna. The colour orange denotes energy, vitality, creativity, inspiration, joy and happiness; the colour brown signifies earthiness, simplicity, stability, humility, warmth, reliability, endurance, timelessness and tradition and the colour black signifies mystery, power, elegance and sophistication.
