MOHAMMAD ALI JAUHAR UNIVERSITY The emblem of Mohammad Ali Jauhar University (MAJU) has a green colour map of India with a star placed on the location of the university. This is placed above a globe of earth and supported by an open book in which its motto in Arabic ‘اقرا’ meaning (Verse 96.1, "Iqra" is a command to the prophet to) recite, read or proclaim is inscribed. Below the book ‘इक़रा’ and ‘Iqra’ are written. The globe is supported by a pair of laurels on sides and its name circumscribes the motifs with an outline. Below these on a yellow banner, its name is written in Urdu. At the bottom, on a black banner its name is written in Devanagari. The map of India denotes the pan Indian appeal of the university; the globe denotes education, knowledge, influence, timelessness, global unity and interconnectedness; the open book denotes knowledge, education, wisdom and learning and the laurels symbolises ceremonies, victory, achievement, hard work and dedication.

Its green, yellow and black logo has a motif of a scarecrow, below which its name is written. In between ‘Tropical’ and ‘Agro’ a sun is placed. The motif and colours are representing the industry in which it is operating and the is easily identifiable with its products and their purpose.
