ELECTION COMMISSION OF INDIA The Election Commission of India is an autonomous constitutional authority responsible for administering election processes in India. The body administers elections to the Lok Sabha, Rajya Sabha, State Legislative Assemblies in India and the offices of the President and Vice President in the country. The Election Commission operates under the authority of the Constitution as per Article 324 and subsequently enacted Representation of the People Act. The Election Commission of India logo dynamically symbolises the masses without barriers of caste, education and economics. The enclosed stable form in the logo represents the strength and foolproof democratic electoral process, without actually focusing on the mechanisms. INDIAN NATIONAL CONGRESS On 28 December 1885, 72 social reformers, journalists and lawyers congregated for the first session of Indian National Congress at Gokuldas Tejpal Sanskrit College, Bombay. As of 2021, the election symbol of Congress, as approved by the Election Commission of India, is an image of a right hand with its palm facing front and its fingers pressed together; this is usually shown in the centre of a tricolour flag. BHAATIYA JANATA PAY The official ideology of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is  integral humanism , which was first formulated by Indian politician  Deendayal Upadhyaya  in 1965. The party advocates  social conservatism  and a foreign policy centred on nationalist principles.  Its election symbol is blooming lotus in water. It is normally depicted in orange (saffron) and green. The party flag too uses the same colour scheme. BALASAHEBCHI SHIV SENA

BALASAHEBCHI SHIV SENA The Election Commission of India (EC) on October 10, 2022 allotted new party name to the Shiv Sena faction led by Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. EC has decreed that the faction would be known as ‘Balasahebchi Shiv Sena’ granted his faction of the 'two swords and a shield' symbol. SHIV SENA (UDDHAV BALASAHEB THACKERAY)

SHIV SENA (UDDHAV BALASAHEB THACKERAY) The Election Commission of India (EC) on October 10, 2022 allotted new party name to the Shiv Sena faction led by Uddhav Thackeray giving the (mashaal) torch symbol to the Thackeray group. EC has decreed that the Uddhav Thackeray faction would be called the ‘Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray)’ The torch in black and white is shown in an orange (saffron) circle. SHIV SENA Shiv Sena  ( IAST : Śiva Sēnā) ( lit.  'Army of  Shivaji ') is a  right-wing Marathi regionalist and Hindu ultranationalist  political party in  India  founded in 1966 by cartoonist  Bal Thackeray . Originally emerging from  nativist  movements in  Bombay  (present-day Mumbai), the party agitates for preferential treatment for the  Marathi people  over migrants from other parts of India. Its election symbol for Maharashtra is bow and arrow with the name of the party in Marathi at the bottom.
