The emblem of the university has a torch with flame and its bottom ends as a pen. These are surrounded by an orange circular table with eleven persons seated around it. The torch is supported by an open book, which transforms into a pair of wings. RABINDRA BHARATI UNIVERSITY Rabindra Bharati University was founded on May 8, 1962, under the Rabindra Bharati Act to mark the birth centenary of poet Rabindranath Tagore at his residential house at Kolkata. The emblem of the university is a modified version of Vishva Bharati University in square shape with woodcut like elements dividing the square into six parts. The upper part bears the name of the university in Bengali and in the centre a lotus with sixteen petals holding a book of palm leaf manuscript. The side panels house a pen in one and a vina and the bottom panels hold a swastika, its name in Devanagari and a mask of folk dance. RADHA GOVIND UNIVERSITY Radha Govind University (RGU) is a private university located in Lalki Ghati of Ramgarh district on a thirty three acres campus in Jharkhand. RGSST was established on August 19, 2013. The emblem of the university has a shield divided into four quadrants. SAVITRIBAI PHULE PUNE UNIVERSITY Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) was established on February 10, 1949 under the Poona University Act. The lotus shaped emblem of SPPU has Shaniwar Wada, the palace of Peshwas of the Maratha Empire founded By Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. In the bottom left and right are the Fort of Raigad, the capital of the empire and the Parvati Hill Temple of Pune respectively, placed inside a circle. Between these circles are a pair of crossed swords, elephant heads and pens. The Shaniwar Wada is supported by two horses standing upright holding an open book which has the words 'Savitribai Phule Pune University' inscribed on it along with the year of its establishment, 1949 AD. A pair of swastikas are placed below the book. SIDHO-KANHO-BIRSHA UNIVERSITY Sidho-Kanho-Birsha University (SKBU) situated in Purulia started functioning on July 6, 2010 with the publication of assent of the Governor in the Kolkata Gazette. Its circular emblem with yellow background and black details has an open book and pen in the centre and its motto in Sanskrit ‘स नो बुद्धया शुभया संयुनन्तु’ meaning ‘Let the Almighty Bestow on Us Blessed Thought’. All these are ensconced by a border bearing the name of the university and its year of establishment. UNIVERSITY OF GOUR BANGA The University of Gour Banga is a state aided university, which was established under the West Bengal Act XXVI of 2007 on February 19, 2008. The circular violet coloured emblem of the university has an open book in the centre circle of a square, whose corners have been treated as pentagons holding the glowing rays and supported by four pens forming the diagonals of a square  All these elements have been surrounded by thick borders and ensconced by a border with border lines bears the name of the university, a pair of twigs of leaves and its motto in Sanskrit ‘चरैवेति’ (Section 3, Chapter 3, Aitareya Brahmana) meaning ‘Keep Going, Keep Going’. The twigs of leaves denote hope, renewal, revival and growth; pen signifies communication, creativity, power, knowledge, thought and written word; open book means knowledge and wisdom and pentagons signifies balance, harmony and equilibrium of five elements of nature.

UTTARAKHAND RESIDENTIAL UNIVERSDITY Uttarakhand Residential University (URU) also called Uttarakhand Aawasiya Viswavidyalaya came into existence on September 6, 2016 by the Act No.20 of the State of Uttarakhand. Its logo is circular with a shield, a banner and a blue border. The shield and the banner are placed inside the border on a tricolour background. The shield has a blue border and is crested with a red rising sun from the Himalayan Mountains, which are supported by an open book with a pen and bulb on it. Below this a ball of flowers is placed. At the bottom of these is a banner carrying its motto and year of establishment is placed. All the natural elements depict the geography of the State of Uttarakhand. NAGALAND UNIVERSITY Nagaland University, the thirteenth Central University was established based on the Act of Parliament of India and received the assent of the President of India on October 20, 1989 as The Nagaland University Act 1989 (No. 35 of 1989) and came into force as notified in The Gazette of India Extraordinary Part-II Section-1 in October 1989 published by the Ministry of Law and Justice (Legislative Department), New Delhi. Its logo in yellow ochre, red, blue and black has a pen supported by an open book denoting the tools of writing, reading, creating and learning. In the background is a traditional Naga textile representing its craft and heritage is crested by a Naga headgear. These are ensconced by an inverted horseshoe border which carries the name of the university on top and a twin folded banner bearing its year of establishment and its motto in Latin ‘Labor et Honor’ meaning ‘Labour and Honour’.

NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOG  AGARTALA The Tripura Engineering College was converted to National Institute of Technology Agartala on April 1, 2006 vide notification No. F. 20-20/2004/TS III/ dated 10.03.2006 of the Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD), Government of India. Its emblem is a gear wheel in which, on a border its name in Hindi and English are placed. Within this circle an opened notebook with a pen is placed, from which a glowing sun of knowledge rises. This is supported on both sides by leafy laurels. Its motto ‘ज्ञानं परमं बलम्’ meaning ‘Knowledge is the Ultimate Strength’ is written on a banner at the bottom.
