CENTRAL INSTITUTE OF INDIAN LANGUAGES The Central Institute of Indian Languages (CIIL) is entrusted with the responsibility of conducting research in language analysis, pedagogy, technology and use. All its research and development activities are directed towards solving problems related to language that emerge in various socio-cultural domains such as education, literacy, mass media, governance, and emotional integration. Its monogram is created out of its acronym ‘CIIL’ in light brown and red colours. The two ‘i’s have their dots in red colour and placed on top in the first ‘i’ and in the bottom in the second ‘i’ resembling a scroll of yester years.
