The emblem of Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Institute of Medical Sciences (DRMLIMS) has a the Satff of Caduceus or the Staff of Hermes with a pair of wings and entwined by serpents, supported by an open book placed on a depiction of one of the university’s buildings in a circle. This circle is ensconced by a blue circular border, which carries its name in Devanagari. At the bottom, on the circular seal on a blue banner, its motto in Sanskrit ‘सर्वे संतु निरामयाः’ (1.4.14, Inspired from Brihandaranyaka Upanishad, Shukla Yajurved) meaning ‘May Everyone be Healthy’ is inscribed. The Staff represents medicine and the medical profession and the open book denotes education, knowledge, learning and wisdom. The colour blue symbolises serenity, calmness, trust, spirituality, calmness, wisdom, freedom, openness, intelligence and loyalty.

RAJMATA VIJAYARAJE SCINDIA KRISHI VISHWA VIDYALAYA The Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia Krishi Vishwavidyalaya, Gwalior was established by Government of Madhya Pradesh on August 19, 2008 by bifurcating the JNKVV, Jabalpur. The green toned circular emblem of the university has a motif of a farmer tilling the soil using cattle and plough placed over an open book signifying the knowledge, wisdom and education of agriculture. Below this its motto in Sanskrit ‘कृषि मूलम् जगत् सर्वम्’ meaning ‘Agriculture is the Root of the World’ is written. All these are ensconced in two circular borders, of which one carries its name and place in English and the outer one carries its name and place in Devanagari supported by a pair of wheat ears. The ears of wheat signifies prosperity, food, wealth and nourishment and the colour green signifies agriculture, nature, growth, balance, harmony, environment, prosperity, vitality, prestige, wealth and being very down to earth.
