The emblem of the Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUST) features a rising sun and coconut palm, which represent the birth of a new centre of learning in Kerala. The book represents learning, the factory represents its application and the transmission tower represents its dissemination. The motto in Malayalam ‘തെജസ്വി നാവധിതമസ്തു’ (Shanti Mantra, Katha Upanishad) meaning ‘May the wisdom accrued deify us both – the teacher and the taught - and percolate to the universe in its totality’ is written on the circular border and on the platform supporting the logo has its name inscribed on it.

INTERNATIONAL GITA MAHOTSAV The pictorial emblem of International Gita Mahotsav (IGM) has The Konark Chakra or Sun wheel supporting a globe of the world, and crested and supported by the embellishments of Sri Sudarshan Chakra and superimposed by Panchajanya or the sacred conch. The name of the conference is written on the left side of the wheel in Devanagari ‘अन्तर्राष्ट्रीय गीता महोत्सव’.
