CHRIST

Christ (Deemed to be University) was born out of the educational vision of St Kuriakose Elias Chavara. Christ (Deemed to be University) was established as ‘Christ College’ in 1969. The circular golden coloured emblem of the university has a candle with flame lights the darkness and illuminates it; The open book supporting it represents knowledge and indicates search of excellence; the five pointed star refers to the heaven by which one steers the course through highs and lows and the name ‘Christ’ in English and Kannada signifies the harmony between the parts and the whole. Its motto ‘Excellence and Service’ is written at the bottom of the circular border.
