THE GLOCAL UNIVERSITY

The Glocal University (TGU) was established by the Glocal University Act, 2011 (UP Act no. 2 of 2012). The logo of the university has a pictorial and a word mark. The circular pictorial in tones of cyan has a ribbon starting from bottom right and transforming into a shining sun symbolises the evolution of the student from a common one to a shining sun. The colour blue represents the vast universe and global output from local minds. At its right the wordmark of the name of the university is written in black sans serif bold and thin font. Below this its motto ‘Shaping Global Minds’ is written on a grey band in white. The colour cyan, referred to as light blue or aqua, signifies  clarity, freshness, spirituality, serenity, calmness, peace, tranquillity, trust, stability and reliability and it is used to convey a sense of professionalism and dependability; black signifies symbolises professionalism, practicality, power, elegance and strength and grey denotes neutrality, practicality, efficiency, maturity, wisdom, sophistication, stability, reliability and modernity.

GOVERNMENT COLLEGE, DEHRA (GC DEHRA) The blue colour emblem of Government College, Dehra (GC Dehra) features a circle housing the motifs of an open book and radiating sun and the text ‘Estd 2017’. The circle is ensconced by a circular border inscribed with the name and place of the college. A pair of laurels supports the border. Below the seal, the motto of the college ‘Knowledge & Empowerment’ is written. The book signifies the pursuit of higher education, standard knowledge acquisition and open access to academic exploration for all students; the sun represents the dispelling of ignorance through enlightenment and the bright future awaiting empowered graduates; and the laurels are traditional symbol representing academic achievement, honour and victory in the pursuit of personal excellence.

NATIONAL INFORMATICS CENTRE  National Informatics Centre (NIC) is the premier science and technology organisation of the Government of India in informatics services and information and communication technology (ICT) applications. Established in 1976, NIC is a part of the Indian Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology of Government of India. The NIC logo is light blue in colour, which represents professionalism, trust, loyalty, confidence, productivity, wisdom, intelligence, strength, stability, peace, calmness and perseverance. KOLKATA METRO RAIL CORPORATION LTD Kolkata Metro Rail Corporation Ltd (KMRCL) is a Government of India enterprise implementing Kolkata (East-West Metro) Corridor Project. KMRCL's Project upon completion will connect Salt Lake Sector-V in the East and Howrah Maidan in the West. There shall be six elevated stations and six underground stations. The line will have interchange with existing terminals of Indian railways at Howrah and Sealdah. TOURISM DEPARTMENT, GOVERNMENT OF MANIPUR The emblem of Tourism Department, Government of Manipur in yellow ochre colour is a sangai (sə.ŋai) with thots name written at the bottom. The deer with its attractive branching horns offers an interesting representation of the State and the yellow ochre refers to the sandalwood paste which is widely used in the State for different purposes. The colour symbolises eternity, indestructibility and association with God.
