THE GLOCAL UNIVERSITY

The Glocal University (TGU) was established by the Glocal University Act, 2011 (UP Act no. 2 of 2012). The logo of the university has a pictorial and a word mark. The circular pictorial in tones of cyan has a ribbon starting from bottom right and transforming into a shining sun symbolises the evolution of the student from a common one to a shining sun. The colour blue represents the vast universe and global output from local minds. At its right the wordmark of the name of the university is written in black sans serif bold and thin font. Below this its motto ‘Shaping Global Minds’ is written on a grey band in white. The colour cyan, referred to as light blue or aqua, signifies  clarity, freshness, spirituality, serenity, calmness, peace, tranquillity, trust, stability and reliability and it is used to convey a sense of professionalism and dependability; black signifies symbolises professionalism, practicality, power, elegance and strength and grey denotes neutrality, practicality, efficiency, maturity, wisdom, sophistication, stability, reliability and modernity.

Its name is written on the right of the pictorial. The colours represent art, finesse, colourfulness and craftsmanship.

MADHAV UNIVERSITY The emblem of Madhav University (MU) is a monogram has a monogram of its acronym in black and white on an orange background and supported by its name written on a black band in white using sans serif bold condensed typeface. The letter ‘U’ is treated as ‘gopi chandan tilak’ as applied by the devotees of Lord Krishna. The colour orange denotes energy, vitality, creativity, inspiration, joy and happiness; the colour brown signifies earthiness, simplicity, stability, humility, warmth, reliability, endurance, timelessness and tradition and the colour black signifies mystery, power, elegance and sophistication.

KARNATAKA POLICE Police in Karnataka were called by various names in different regions. After initiation of policing, they were initially called Thoti, Talwar, Umbalidhar, Kattubidi, Neeraganti etc. The police primarily with policing used to do other jobs entrusted to them. Mysore State was the predecessor to Karnataka State, which was created on November 1, 1965. Sri. L. Rickets was appointed as first Inspector General of Police. During the rule of Maharajas of Mysore, the policing existed in different variants. RAJENDRA UNIVERSITY Rajendra University, Balangir, recognized by UGC as a State Public University, owes its origin to an Intermediate college setup in Balangir in 1944 by Maharaja Rajendra Narayan Sighdeo, the then ruler of the erstwhile Patna State and one of the former Chief Ministers of Odisha. This college was subsequently upgraded to a Degree college in 1946. It was granted autonomy with effect from April 1, 2002. It has been upgraded to a university with effect from September 1, 2020. CENTRAL UNIVERSITY OF TAMILNADU The Government of India founded the Central University of Tamil Nadu (CUTN), along with eight other Central Universities, through an Act of Parliament in 2009. Its emblem is in the form of a black shield with a crest of flames in yellow and orange colours. The top portion of the shield, which is separated by a horizontal double head arrow line, has its name written in Devanagari topped by a rising sun. The portion below this is divided into three parts with a symbol of recycling materials, a graduating scholar in a halo and a stem of plant shooting from a pair of meshed gear wheels, which are supported by a pair of blue ribbons. The recycle emblem and the graduate are separated by a pair of downward flowing ribbons. Below the gear, the year of establishment of the university is written. The edge of the shield is marked by the name of the university in English.
