THE GLOCAL UNIVERSITY

The Glocal University (TGU) was established by the Glocal University Act, 2011 (UP Act no. 2 of 2012). The logo of the university has a pictorial and a word mark. The circular pictorial in tones of cyan has a ribbon starting from bottom right and transforming into a shining sun symbolises the evolution of the student from a common one to a shining sun. The colour blue represents the vast universe and global output from local minds. At its right the wordmark of the name of the university is written in black sans serif bold and thin font. Below this its motto ‘Shaping Global Minds’ is written on a grey band in white. The colour cyan, referred to as light blue or aqua, signifies  clarity, freshness, spirituality, serenity, calmness, peace, tranquillity, trust, stability and reliability and it is used to convey a sense of professionalism and dependability; black signifies symbolises professionalism, practicality, power, elegance and strength and grey denotes neutrality, practicality, efficiency, maturity, wisdom, sophistication, stability, reliability and modernity.

The circular dark blue emblem of the bank has a motif of one Rupee coin above a pair of crossed golden bars forming four quadrants in a circle. These quadrants have motifs of a milch cow; tobacco and sugarcane plant; a tractor and a gear on micro scale industry. The yellow colour circular emblem of Allahabad District Cooperative Bank Ltd. has a motif of handshake placed in a circle with circular border inscribed with its name and place ‘Prayagraj’ in Devanagari. The insignia of the institution has a innumerable concentric petalled lotus in a red circle encircled by its name and motto in Sanskrit ‘ज्ञान पंथ कृपान कै धारा’ meaning ‘Cult of Knowledge is Through the Blessings’ and is ensconced in a blue gear wheel turning clockwise. SHRI RAMSWAROOP MEMORIAL UNIVERSITY  Shri Ramswaroop Memorial University (SRMU) was established by Uttar Pradesh State Government ACT 1 of 2012. SRMU is built upon the excellence of Shri Ramswaroop Memorial Group of Professional Colleges (SRMGPC) in engineering and business education. Its emblem has a red pot of nectar spewing out from a red vessel which has its motto ‘विद्ययाऽमृतमश्नुते’ meaning ‘Knowledge enjoys Immortality’ taken from Ishopanishad Verse 11, written on and supported by the blue globe with latitudinal and longitudinal lines. The spewed nectar falls as drops for the stakeholders benefit. These are ensconced in a border on which its name and the State is inscribed. The Amrit or nectar is the source of immortality, meaning the university offers the nectar of knowledge, which is the source of immortality.
