The emblem of Kamdhenu University (KU) in orange and blue has water, earth and sky, three of five elements of nature are depicted by motifs of fish, cow and bird. The can of milk denotes dairy and mechanisation, cattle farming; the open book denotes knowledge; the dark blue cross symbolises veterinary sciences and profession; while K and U - represents Kamdhenu University. 'K' is depicted as an arrow pointing to the goals and ‘U’ as a test tube denotes scientific research. Two majestic Asiatic lions of Gujarat signifies courage. The octagonal background ensconcing logo is the symbol of Goddess Laxmi. Its motto in Sanskrit written at the bottom in Sanskrit ‘सर्वभूतहितेरता:’ (Verse 25, Chapter 5, Bhagavad Gita) means ‘Striving for Welfare of All Living Beings’.
