MOTILAL NEHRU NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY ALLAHABAD, PRAYAGRAJ |
Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology Allahabad, Prayagraj (MNNIT) was established in the year 1961 as a joint enterprise of Government of India and Government of Uttar Pradesh and was an associated college of University of Allahabad. The emblem of this institute has a torch placed in the backdrop of the junction of three rivers depicting ‘Triveni Sangam’; an opened book and a drawing of atomic structure is ensconced on a circular border bearing the name of the institute. It has another border in the form of a gear wheel, below which is a tanned hide with a lotus placed inside, symbolising the rise of purity from impurity. A banner having its tagline in Sanskrit ‘सिद्धिर्भवति कर्मजा’ meaning ‘Success is the Result of Action’ is placed above this.
