India’s first skill based private university, Rabindranath Tagore University (RNTU) strives to impart skill based education and promote research driven advancement of knowledge for creating successful professionals. Established by the Rabindranath Tagore Group in 2010, it has carved a niche for itself in Madhya Pradesh and Jharkhand. The emblem of the university has the acronym of its name written in the colours used in its promoter’s logo using sans serif bold font. It uses black,blue, orange and red to denote the multiple stakeholders, cultures and beneficiaries. At its right a portrait of Tagore is placed. On the right side of the portrait its name is written in black serif font in three lines.

The mountains and river refer to the local topography of snow-capped peaks of the Himalayan mountain ranges; the lightning bolt symbiosis raw energy, power, enlightenment, and the sparking of knowledge; and the laurels represent a traditional laurel wreath, which symbolises academic triumph, victory and the pursuit of honour.
