PLAKSHA UNIVERSITY PUNJAB

The emblem of Plaksha University Punjab (PUP) depicts an abstract version of plaksha (Ficus lacor) tree or Java fig tree in teal blue colour, which is used in Ayurvedic medicine and is considered sacred in Hinduism, which is found in northern parts of India. This pictorial symbolises knowledge and growth with its branches reaching outwards to represent expanding knowledge and creating a positive impact on society. The elegant teal blue colour is a bluish-green shade that symbolises gentleness, calmness and serenity of blue and strength, growth and high-spiritedness of green.

No. 15 Squadron NO 15 SQUADRON The No. 15 Squadron of Indian Air Force was formed on August 2, 1951 at Ambala. In 1983, the ‘Flying Lances’ were the first MiG-21 Bis squadron in the Air Force to be modified for the Matra Magic R55, air to air missiles. The squadron was again number plated in 2009 and re-raised in 2012 on the Su-30 at Sirsa AFS. The No. 15 Squadron’s motto is ‘Nihantavya Shatava’ meaning ‘Annihilate the Enemy’. This Squadron is also called ‘Flying Lances’. Its insignia has a flying lancer in the centre with a ball of fire background. It currently operates the Mikoyan MiG-21 from Jodhpur.
