MANIPUR UNIVERSITY

Manipur University was established on June 5, 1980 under the Manipur University Act 1980 (Manipur Act 8 of 1980), as a teaching cum affiliating university at Imphal with territorial jurisdiction over the whole of the state of Manipur and it was converted into a Central University with effect from October 13, 2005. The red circular emblem of the university traditional lamp burning bright in a circle, symbolising light, brightness, path to progress and growth. This is surrounded by a circular border which carries the the name of the university in Meiteilon and its motto in Sanskrit ‘धियो यो नः प्रचोदयात्’ meaning ‘May the Mind that Inspires Us’

TOBACCO BOARD The Tobacco Board was constituted as a statutory body on January 1, 1976 under Section (4) of the Tobacco Act, 1975. The Board is headed by a chairman with headquarters at Guntur, Andhra Pradesh and is responsible for the development of the tobacco industry. GURU GHASIDAS VISHWAVIDYALAYA Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya (GGV), is a Central University of India, located in Bilaspur Chhattisgarh State, established under Central Universities Act 2009, No. 25 of 2009. Formerly called Guru Ghasidas University (GGU), established by an Act of the State Legislative Assembly, was formally inaugurated on June 16, 1983. The insignia of the institution has a innumerable concentric petalled lotus in a red circle encircled by its name and motto in Sanskrit ‘ज्ञान पंथ कृपान कै धारा’ meaning ‘Cult of Knowledge is Through the Blessings’ and is ensconced in a blue gear wheel turning clockwise. Lotus symbolises knowledge, wisdom and purity and the gear wheel symbolises energy, movement, advancement and progress.

The Know Your Approvals (KYA) module includes guidance for thirty two Central Departments and thirty two States. The portal hosts applications for approvals from twenty eight Central Departments and twenty State Governments. These approvals can be applied through NSWS. NATIONAL BANK FOR FINANCING INFRASTRUCTURE AND DEVELOPMENT The need for establishing a dedicated financial institution to address the long-term infrastructure financing requirements in India was realised considering the nation’s GDP growth objectives and the role of infrastructure development towards the same. In response to this need, the National Bank for Financing Infrastructure and Development Act, 2021 was introduced, as it denotes the return of Development Financial Institutions (DFIs) in the country after a few decades. The Act subsequently received the assent of the President on March 28, 2021 and has come into force effective April 19, 2021. Reserve Bank of India (RBI) vide its letter dated March 8, 2022 has advised that NaBFID shall be regulated and supervised by RBI as an All India Financial Institution (AIFI) under sections 45L and 45N of the RBI Act, 1934, respectively. Its logo is a wordmark of its acronym in blue with ‘a’ in lowercase.

THE JAMMU & KASHMIR LIGHT INFANTRY India's first Light Infantry was born out of the peoples' response in 1947, to the invasion of Kashmir by Pakistan. In the difficult days of the invasion, the population formed local defence groups. These were later organised into militias responsible for specific sectors, e.g., Leh, Nubra, Jammu, Punch, etc. Over a period, these were grouped into the Militia battalions. Two of these were later converted into the Ladakh Scouts. The militia battalions operated with skill on the Line of Control (LoC) and in the 1971 Indo-Pak War earned three battle honours. In 1972, the militia battalions were brought on par with the army units, and in 1976 designated the Jammu & Kashmir Light Infantry (JAK LI). The 8th JAK LI earned great honour by capturing a Pakistani post at 21,000 feet at the Siachen Glacier in 1987. Its Regimental Centre is Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir and its Regimental insignia is a pair of crossed muskets. ...
