The Election Commission of India (EC) on October 10, 2022 allotted new party name to the Shiv Sena faction led by Uddhav Thackeray giving the (mashaal) torch symbol to the Thackeray group. EC has decreed that the Uddhav Thackeray faction would be called the ‘Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray)’ The torch in black and white is shown in an orange (saffron) circle. The name of the party is written in Devnagari at the bottom in orange and black.
