The blue circular seal of All India Institute of Speech and Hearing (AIISH) has a face with mouth and a pair of ears with five circular waves holding a Staff crested by burning torch and a serpent. On both sides of the torch its motto in Sanskrit ‘पुरुषस्य वाक् रसः’ (Verse 1.1.2, Chandogya Upanishad) meaning ‘Speech is the Essence of Human Beings’ These are ensconced by a white border with blue outlines bearing its name and place. The torch denotes enlightenment, hope, life, truth and the regenerative power and the Staff represents medicine and medical profession.

UTTARANCHAL UNIVERSITY Uttaranchal University has come a long way since its inception in 2013 providing world class multidisciplinary education. The university's mission is to inculcate the essence of the Sanskrit Shloka ‘पदं हि सर्वत्र गुणैर्निधीयते’ meaning ‘Good Qualities Put their Footprints Everywhere’.
