KUVEMPU UNIVERSITY

The seal of Kuvempu University (KU) is  held by a pair of hands with its motif of Gandaberunda in a circle and ensconced by a circular border carrying the motto of the university in Kannada ‘ಮನುಜಮತ, ವಿಶ್ವಪಥ, ಸರ್ವೋದಯ, ಪೂರ್ಣದೃಷ್ಟಿ’ meaning ‘Manujamata, Vishvapatha, Sarvodaya Purnadrishti’. The banners at the bottom carry the name of the university in Kannada and English. The Gandaberunda is taken from the State Emblem of Karnataka to give unique native orientation to the emblem.

BABA GHULAM SHAH BADSHAH UNIVERSITY Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University (BGSBU) has come into existence by an Act of the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly called the Jammu & Kashmir Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University Act No. XVI of 2002 and the same is recognised by the AICTE and UGC, New Delhi, under sections 2F and 12 B. KENDRIYA VIDYALAYA SANGATHAN The emblem of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) has a rising sun with its golden rays resembling twelve flying birds supported by an open book in the National Tricolour. Below the book its motto in Sanskrit ‘तत् त्वं पूषन् अपावृणु’ (15, Shloka, Isavasyopanishad) meaning ‘O Pushan, that I, Truth’s devotee’ and at the bottom the name of the institution is written in Devanagari. THE BIHAR REGIMEN The Hindu, Buddhist and Muslim influences intermingled to produce a soldiery which was traditionally arms bearing, disciplined and deeply religious. The Bihar Regiment claims its origins from the sepoy battalions raised in 1758 by Clive at Patna. The Bihari or poorbia or purviah soldier thereafter continued to provide the backbone of The Bengal Infantry of the British. Its Regimental Centre is Danapur, Bihar and its Regimental insignia is the Ashoka lion.
