VIGNAN'S LARA INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY & SCIENCE (VLITS) The cyan, blue and purple circular seal of Vignan's Lara Institute of Technology & Science (VLITS) features an abstract circular shape created by the repetition of ‘VL’ holding a star in the centre. The star refers to excellence and leadership; the rays emanating from the star refer to the institution's reach and impact; and the five triangles refer to the diverse fields of engineering. The overall design conveys a sense of unity, innovation, and commitment to academic excellence in science and technology.

SAMBALPUR UNIVERSITY The Sambalpur University Act was passed by the Odisha Legislature on December 10, 1966 and the University started functioning from January 1, 1967. The university was inaugurated on January 4, 1967. In 1973 the University was shifted to the present campus named Jyoti Vihar at Burla. The emblem of the university has the motifs of gear wheels, chimney and electric transmission tower representing industry; plough representing agriculture; deer representing the local wildlife; an open book denoting knowledge and wisdom; a torch symbolising light, truth and power; the Wheel of Konark symbolising Odisha’s culture and history and river symbolising Mahanadi. All these are ensconced by a circular border and along the border the name of the university is written. The motto of the university in Sanskrit ‘विद्यया विन्दतेऽमृतम्’ (Verse 4 II, Kena Upanishad) meaning ‘By Self-knowledge Immortality is Attained’ is written at the bottom of the emblem.

INDIAN VALVE AND ACTUATOR MANUFACTURERS ASSOCIATION The orange and black word mark logo of Indian Valve and Actuator Manufacturers Association (IVAMA) has its acronym written in sans serif bold capitals. The horizontal strokes of the two ‘A’s are shown as pneumatic valves. The name of the Association is written below the acronym.

The company’s logo is a wordmark with a motif in light and dark blue concentric blades symbolising the precise and sharp financial transactions. The wordmark is written in sans serif italics. The tones of blue instil confidence and reliability.

VYASA COLLEGE OF ARTS & SCIENCE WOMEN’S COLLEGE (WASWC) The predominantly pink colour emblem of Vyasa College of Arts & Science Women’s College (WASWC) features a hand in abhaya mudra with an inscription of glowing flame on the palm, supported by a two pairs of hands holding traditional lamp on sides and supported by an open book at the bottom. The name of the place of the college is inscribed below the motifs. This assemblage is ensconced by a circular border inscribed with the name of the college. The motto of the college ‘Vitality Wisdom Victory’ is inscribed on a pink banner placed below the seal. JAMTARA COLLEGE, JAMTARA The emblem of Jamtara College, Jamtara features a circle with the motifs of an open book, a twig with three leaves of bilva tree, a structure of an atom and ‘nagara’ a local drum and the motto of the college in Sanskrit ‘आत्म दीपो भवः’ meaning 'Let One's Atma Illuminate'. The circle is ensconced by a circular border inscribed with the name of the college in Devanagari and English and its year of establishment. The twig of leaves symbolises the holy trinity (Trimurti), Lord Shiva's three eyes and the three fundamental qualities of nature (Gunas); the atomic structure denotes science; the book represents the pursuit of knowledge, academic learning, and literacy; and the drum represents the rich cultural heritage and traditional values of the region.

GIRIDIH COLLEGE, GIRIDIH The emblem of Giridih College, Giridih features a circle with four panels housing the motifs of a banyan tree, rising sun, a miner with a pickaxe and a range of mountains supported by a pair of stalks of grain. The name of the college and its motto are written in Devanagari on a circular border around the motifs. The motto reads in Sanskrit ‘सरस्वती श्रुतिमहती महीयताम्’ (Abhigyanshakuntalam, Mahakavi Kalidas) meaning ‘May Saraswathi Bless Increasing Glory of the Scholars’. TATA COLLEGE, CHAIBASA The emblem of Tata College, Chaibasa features a shield crested by rising sun and housing the motifs of a flying owl, supported by a pair of ears of corn and surmounted by the name and place of the college.
