The predominantly orange circular emblem of Shri Rawatpura Sarkar University (SRU) has two layers of lotuses in light and dark orange houses a diagram of an atom supported by its acronym ‘SRU’. The circular orange border bears its name and its motto in Sanskrit ‘सत्यम् ज्ञानम् अनंतम्’ meaning ‘True Knowledge is Infinite’ is written and supported by a pair of laurels. The colour orange symbolises energy, vitality, creativity, inspiration, joy and happiness; lotus denotes purity, enlightenment, rebirth, transformation, personal growth, resilience, overcoming obstacles and divine beauty; the drawing of an atom denotes science, engineering and technology and the laurels denote ceremonies, victory, achievement, hard work and dedication.

SAMBALPUR UNIVERSITY The Sambalpur University Act was passed by the Odisha Legislature on December 10, 1966 and the University started functioning from January 1, 1967. The university was inaugurated on January 4, 1967. In 1973 the University was shifted to the present campus named Jyoti Vihar at Burla. The emblem of the university has the motifs of gear wheels, chimney and electric transmission tower representing industry; plough representing agriculture; deer representing the local wildlife; an open book denoting knowledge and wisdom; a torch symbolising light, truth and power; the Wheel of Konark symbolising Odisha’s culture and history and river symbolising Mahanadi. All these are ensconced by a circular border and along the border the name of the university is written. The motto of the university in Sanskrit ‘विद्यया विन्दतेऽमृतम्’ (Verse 4 II, Kena Upanishad) meaning ‘By Self-knowledge Immortality is Attained’ is written at the bottom of the emblem.

ALL INDIA INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES JODHPUR All India Institute of Medical Sciences Jodhpur (AIIMS Jodhpur) is one of the six new AIIMS established by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojna (PMSSY) with the aim of correcting regional imbalances in quality tertiary level healthcare in the country and attaining self sufficiency in graduate and postgraduate medical education. Its circular insignia in gold and blue has the traditional symbol of the Caduceus to represent medicine. This symbol derives from Hermes or Mercury, the winged messenger and a staff intertwined by two snakes.
